Topic: Minifig Customization with Eraser

I saw hazzat and some others using a pencil eraser to customize a minifig head. Can anyone go more in depth with this?

...

Take an eraser and erase the parts of a minifig's face that you don't want. It seems pretty self-explanatory.

If you want, you can try it out on a minifig face that you have an abundance of (like the classic smiley) and see for yourself if it works.

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

I tried with like 4 different kinds, but none of them worked.

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

The brand you are using is most likely the problem, American Eagle and Rose Art works great for me.

I use a rubber on the end of a pencil it's more stable.

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

Preferably a really tough one. The rubber will get wrecked when your done with it.

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

how long does that take?

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

It took me about 20 minutes, and it completely destroyed the eraser.

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

Hi,
for some things I use a rubber, too. For my Joker minifig (for example), I needed a plain white head. So I took an old skeleton head and erased the face print (with a blue rubber).
Works pretty well.

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

It works well, but you have to press really hard. I wish you could erase less subtle portions of the face (ex. the white thing on Batman's face) mini/confused

Re: Minifig Customization with Eraser

This is what I got in about five minutes
