Topic: Macro lens

I found a really nice pair of macro lenses for the type of camera I have (Cannon Powershot A570 IS). It's a great deal, but before I take it I need to know, is a macro lens good for brickfilming?

Re: Macro lens

What are macro lenses?

Re: Macro lens

It's a lens that allows you to focus in really well

Re: Macro lens

I think they might be good, but I'm no expert.

Re: Macro lens

I heard that they are cool for brickfilming. You can zoom/fokus much closer to the minifig as without
I just looking for those lens for my A520. I know there are some, but I don´t found where.

Re: Macro lens

Macro Lenses basically change the focal length of the camera. In real terms this means that with an unaltered lens, the image gets blurred when you get too close and you cannot refocus with the focal range you have. Adding a macro lens enables you to get close and still be able to focus.

To get some lenses, just go to ebay and search "macro lens" and you will see lots of sets. Be sure to buy the one for your camera, otherwise you may get the wrong thread for the lens (if you have a DSLR) or the wrong lens diameter to clip over your lens (if you have a prosumer camera with a built in lens). They are not available for webcams as far as i know. I bought a set brand name Camray from Hong Kong (for about £12) and they are really good on my Canon DSLR.
