Your sets never cease to amaze me.....And I will never cease to steal ideas from your sets. mini/shifty

Loïc F-B, Try to right click on where the images should be, go into properties, and copy-paste the image's url into another tab. I have that problem on images some times, and that's what I do to see them.

Strange Villain, try looking at them here, that might work, maybe.

Thanks. mini/smile

Also, I've decided that you'll play the news guy. (I just need to type up the complete line and send it to you)

And I might switch the reporters head to Luke Skywalker's, since that will probably fit better.

Thanks! Now, I can see the pictures.

Great job. You're a legend Squid, a legend... mini/yes

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

ANP how are you doing the background on the skyscraper scenes?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Gigantic piece of wood painted black with little white dots.

I'll be re-doing it on a canvas soon so it'll be simpler to move, and do a darker shade of black.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

EDIT: Never mind. Very sorry.

While you're at it, I would suggest that you make the new one have smaller white dots and use a not-as-reflective paint.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Well I like the reflective-ness.
Although maybe instead of black do a very deep blue, to contrast with the heavily illuminated building.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I'll be trying to make it less reflective as well. I really dislike that it can be so shiny, I have to be really careful sometimes to make sure it doesn't have bright white areas, and it makes the stars not stand out well. I'll be trying it soon.

after checking out the "Giant Alien bananas from outer space" thread iy kinda rekindled the fire for an ideal I've had for a while, which is to make a really fakey brickfilm spoofing the SyFy channel's "Mega shark Vs. Crocosaurus" type series, so this well be one of the monster's, CYBORG SASQUATCH. mini/smile

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Ghost, since it's Bigfoot, you may want to make the body as brown as you can.
Have only a few gray parts on the body, and only one leg, and one arm gray.
You may also want to find some connecting bars that aren't blue. mini/wink

What did you do for the head? That doesn't look like any Lego peice that I've seen.

Here's a set that I'll be using in two films. For The Timeless Knight it will be the inside of the Roman Barracks, and for the other, once I remove the weapons, the inside of an old church.
Here's the Barracks version,

and a close-up of the wall.

And here's the church version,

and another angle.

What do you think?
(Yes, the church is supposed to be dark, that will be explained in the movie.)

Sasquatch was mortally wounded leaving very few organic part's left (and i don't have many brown pieces that would work, unless it's steampunk)    i don't think lego make any of the connector part's in a different color (i thought they made them in light gray but i couldn't find any.)

i sculpted the head using hardening clay called "super dough".

I love it! I love the stained windows and how you used studs! Such creativity! Your the type of brickfilmer I should look up too! mini/smile

Amazing sets Pritchard, really nice. mini/yes

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I think it would look a lot more church-y if the pews had backs, also the supports should be brown, not black.. I've never seen pews like that as far as I can remember. The stain glass windows could also do with some lights behind them, because glowing stain glass windows look totally rad. I'd also scratch the pillars, their position could easily get in peoples' way.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Ghost, I love steampunk, so by all means do that! And you're looking for this piece or this piece. As you can see, they come in many colors other than blue.

Thanks for the comments on the barracks/church!

I can't believe I forgot backs on the pews though, something looked off, but now I know what it is. I'll try to upload pics of Pew design 2.0 later. As to the color, there's a reason the supports are black, but that'll be explained in the movie. And I don't want to reveal spoilers yet. mini/wink
