Hello!
I've been wondering (and I guess some of you have too), what is the main factor of a brickfilm?
What is most important, what is unique?
Please post your opinion here.
It's different for different films.
Pretty much everything. There is no MAIN factor, the whole movie is supposed to be good. You can have amazing animation but if the voice acting is really bad the film is going to be bad and vice-versa.
The idea. Without that, you aren't going to need any of the other things anyway.

The biggest thing is the plot. Spend alot of time in the writing stage, believe me it will help.
Agree with all of the above.
Yet there's one factor which makes the difference between a oscar and a flop:
IDEA
May I propose that there is something even greater in creating a brickfilm than the plot, the animating, the sound, or anything else?? Want to know what that is? Bricks. Without bricks, you don't have a brick film.

I guess that's the answer for you guys! No bricks? No brickfilm. Idea can be simple yet if the animation and the other aspects of the video are good people will still enjoy it. They won't call it a "Masterpiece" or "Unique" but still they'll like it.
Then again you're not much with your idea if you execute it badly. I don't think there's one main factor that really stand out as being most important. I also agree with what Danimation said.
I think that beside having a good idea, what really is important to make a film good is good direction. Even a simple idea can look like a great film if it's well directed and well scripted. Editing also heps.
I agree with Danimation, though, it's hard to say.
The most important factor in any kind of medium is that it doesn't suck.
What every brickfilm must need is, a thought. Without said thought, you can't make the film
