Topic: Forum Suggestion

I am a quite new member to this site Bricksinmotion and I have found that it is hard to look at recent topics in the forums. Perhaps you could come up with a redesigned, easier to use like you can change the settings for example: you could rearrange the topic listings by Date added. Probably this website had this same look for like a couple of years. I think it is time to change it up and revamp it or it'll get boring. If you could do look at this site:
http://minecrafttunnel.com/community/in … lounge.47/

That is my minecraft server website and I like how to looks like you could press tabs on the topic listing to arrange the order as Title,Start date,Replies,Views,Last message. Please note the minecraft website I have shown you uses

It looks like a good forum software to me. very appealing to the eye. mini/bigsmile

Re: Forum Suggestion

Welcome To Bricks In Motion

I disagree with you. Your forum has no organisation everyone can just dump uncategorised topics. This forum has and needs sub forums so we are able to navigate to a specific category in the production of Brickfilming. Plus within a sub forum every new topic made gets automatically placed at the top. To conclude it's not hard to find recent topics people just have to stop being lazy and search for them.

Re: Forum Suggestion

My forum does in fact have subforums. It's optional

Re: Forum Suggestion

Though I'd admittedly be pretty unlikely/unable to make changes to the forum software here, I'm not entirely sure what's being suggested, either. We do already have Unanswered Topics and Recent Topics pages.

Re: Forum Suggestion

Who's in charge of this website then? . The great Sméagol has fallen to the ponies mini/jaw
Oh btw are there any other brickfilm communities out there? I have searched around and this is like the only active forum.

Re: Forum Suggestion

I'm in charge, I just don't have the ability to reprogram the forums,  I'm not a programmer.  It'd be a major undertaking and there are higher priorities on the site development right now, honestly.

This is pretty much the only active community now, except for some foreign language ones.  The largest of those is brickboard.de, which is in German. I think there are one or two other non-English brickfilming forums but I don't know them offhand.

Re: Forum Suggestion

I'm also not quite sure what's being suggested here, but I typically use the New Posts link to browse the forums. It's the easiest way to see what's gone on between visits, if that's what you're after.

Re: Forum Suggestion

Fox454x, try brickfilmersguild.com
It's sort of active. Not as good as BiM tho.
