Topic: White Light?

Hello everybody! I use the QCP9000 and I have a question. I want to get a nice white lightning. I now got a grey blurry effect and it looks not nice. Can anyone help me? Here is a example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjzVwsrJCQY

Re: White Light?

If you mean that white light flicking, many guys have that poroblem. I had too, but I was tired and I changed the camera. Nothing to do, if I understand the right problem.

Or if you are talking about usual lighting... I like very much of mnmtwinz's lighting. They have very wonderfull lighting and effects. Maybe you can ask them. Or if you have that annoying problem: ^ ^ Nothing to do again. mini/sad

Re: White Light?

Grey, huh?  Hmm...  Sounds like you have the Contrast setting too low.

Well, now that I look at your video, you seem to have the same problem I used to have.
Don't listen to Lajaka, there's a way to fix it.

There's three parts to it: resolution, lighting, and camera settings.  The resolution should be set to at least 1280x720.  This can only be possible through a capture software (except for Monkeyjam).  The lighting should be made of at least three  lamps, positioned so that the set is evenly lighted.  With the settings, I find that these settings work well for me:

These settings work best when used with the two other compontents I mentioned before.  Also, I don't get any light flicker with these settings.  The light flicker is mostly caused by the Gain setting being too high, making the camera more sensitive to subtle changes in light caused by reflecting.  Brighter lighting allows you to turn down the Gain and the picture will still be bright enough.

Hmm... This is pretty odd manuals, maybe I would try them someday. If they'll work, but I use a DSLR right now.

It's a bit grainy because it was taken with the webcam software, not my capture software.
