Re: YouTube

Nothing, but it got him posted on FBTB, and a lot of other publicity.
With the AFOLs watching out for any and all info on the upcoming Superheros line, his video managed to get put where it didn't deserve to be, and now he has made all brickfilms look bad. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p84/UberSocks/69.gif

EDIT: If I helped to fuel the next few pages of off-topic posts by this comment, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking, please forgive me. mini/sad

And on top of that, the retention rate for it is above average, which really surprises me since it's so long and choppy.

Unfortunately, though, I'm rather disappointed on how dreadfully large the gap between Pirates' and my other films is. My second highest viewed film only has 3,700+ views.

I guess there's just something about pirates and adventure which makes people want to watch. mini/tongue

Congratulations, ANP.  You deserve millions more views.

LOLOL. once I was in a trolling mood and I looked up a bunch of violent brickfilms from FF101 and flagged them for "Promoting Terrorism."

Well, that's what they were doing. Also I am offended by that sort of stuff. You should follow my example.

Re: YouTube

I just watched RWJ's new song (the one animated by ForrestFire101) and I have to say that the animation wasn't that bad though the song absolutely disgusted me. Like said, the song was a "disgrace to Lego." It deserves more dislikes than it has now.

Congratulations on abusing the Youtube content flagging system.

Seriously, if you don't like his work, don't watch it. Flagging someone's films without legitimate reason is pretty much the epitome of pettiness. How would you like it if I went around and flagged your films because "OMG DEY HAV POOP JOEKS"?

Stop behaving like a spiteful child.

Re: YouTube

Well,i watched YFM's new song(animated by FF101),and the animation was good, but the song was terrible.
The video deserves more dislikes than likes.
And yes,it is a disgrace to brickfilmers.
And LASF,what RWJ song?

I feel kind of insulted by what you just said. I was not just flagging the videos because I was trolling FF101, I flagged them because they were offensive to the values I believe in and offensive to the hard-earned peace that even today activists are working towards. I absolutely hate war and those videos make me feel like every person who lost their life in war and every family that's been torn apart by it just happened for nothing, if that makes sense at all. And also, the videos aren't entertaining, and as somepony else put it, they give lego animation a bad reputation. POOP JOEKS are not really offensive to anypony unless their a germophobe or are easily grossed out by such. But poop never teared apart a family, or a nation. The videos are basically glorifying war, which is something I am very opposed to. If you don't understand the point I am trying to make, Squash, then go read "All Quiet on the Western Front" (unless you have already) and tell me how you feel about it then.

Re: YouTube

I guess some people could be offended by it, but that's like going around and flagging just about every one of FreddieW's videos because they have shooting and stuff. It just seems a bit drastic to me.

Re: YouTube

I don't like intentionally seek the videos out, unless I am in a really bad mood. Usually it's one of those "brutal epic win shootout" junk that somepony forwards to me or I accidentally click on. It disgusts me, all that crap.

Re: YouTube

FF101's videos do not "promote terrorism." Tagging them as such because you don't like the values in the videos is still abusing the system and behaving like a spiteful child.

Re: YouTube

The reason Forrest's videos are so long is because they have too much boring and unnecessary content. GO PRINT THAT ON ONE OF YOUR STUPID T-SHIRTS, WHALEHEAD!!!

And now, my opinion on the YT Partner Program:

I've been concerned about the program. I just think YouTube and Google are being a bit selfish; the program helps no one except themselves. Of course, the Partners get money and it makes their channel look really cool. However, they get those annoying ads at the beginning of their videos. If there was a 35-second ad on a 10-second video, that'd be really messed up. The ads are worthless. All people want is for the ads to be over so they can watch the video. YouTube is taking advantage of those people, and the people just want the stinkin' money!

I also don't see why you have to have a minimum of a thousand subscribers. Some people who do want the money can't wait until 1,000 subscribers. Sigh. What happened to this country? mini/confused

Re: YouTube

That may be according to your judgement, Smeagol. I have my opinions and rights as a user of youtube.
(I'm not saying that the videos should be taken down or anything, but think of it this way. If there was a feature film made of that stuff, what would it be rated? PG-13, R, NC-17, or something. So technically, do you really think it a good idea for young kids to be seeing that kind of stuff? Youtube has a flagging system, and it is not used enough as it should.)
Haven't some scientists or sociologists found a connection between violence in the media and underage criminality? I'm not suggesting that FF101 is going to be responsible for a bunch of homicides but the videos are definitely not appropriate. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it

Re: YouTube

YouTube means "promoting terrorism" in the literal sense, like illegally trying to incite people to commit terrorist acts. It's abusive and unethical to flag peoples' videos as something like that when they're not. This isn't really a matter of opinion.
