I'm making a traditionally animated short film as my thesis project for university.
I wouldn't normally use copyrighted music in my videos, but I have been wanting to do a trailer with preexisting music for a while now so this seemed like a decent opportunity.

Do you have an estimated release time?
Not really. I have to finish a presentable form of it for school by late April, but I may want to withhold it for festivals and such after that, not sure.
Well, the art style isn't really my thing, but it would be unfair to judge a film by that.
Will you be posting the complete film later?

I'm gonna agree with DJM on the art style. The picture that you posted on your Tumblr got me excited for the direction of this film but a lot of the art in the actual trailer was kind of disappointing. 
Looking forward to the finished project, however. 
For a short while I was considering 3D characters and put that render together. I've since switched back to traditional animation as I didn't really like the way the 3D looked with the characters/settings, there were technical/time considerations at play here too.
It's basically an ink and watercolor style, I'm going for something reminiscent of old storybooks and Alfons Mucha paintings.

You've said something about Cave being in lots of film festivals. Could you release a list of them? I might go see one if there were one near me.
New trailer! This time with dialog and music from the film.
I don't know what festivals will be showing it, yet. I've submitted it to a lot of film festivals, 13 and counting, but not all of them will necessarily show it. I'll probably post here if/when I get some acceptances.
Pretty groovy. Nice job.
Hmmm.... Looks like a great story (I love that type of plot), but the characters/style of animation are definitely not my favorite. Even so, I'll be looking forward for this!
