Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Assuming you know that ninja's aren't from Mexico...
I think that using the Rebel soldiers from Star Wars isn't really the best idea, as you'll only confuse people, IMO. You could use those bodies, but I'd switch out the hats, and maybe make their faces yellow as opposed to pale (but I'm not sure how you feel about using different skin colors in the same film). As for the set itself, the wall is very simple in design, and red might be a little too bright of a color, but I suppose it really all depends on whether the film is comedy, action, etc.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

It is not actually for a Star Wars brickfilm, and thanks.

Edit: I used the Star Wars troopers because I don't have any "snowy" minfigs. mini/tongue Also I have upgraded it, and will post pics soon.

Fore an upcoming film where a group of 5 mexican assassins try to get across the border while not getting caught by the soldiers.
I only started working on it yesterday,i shall improve it soon.

is that the entire set?
if that is the case it is very small, the figures barely fit on it. The wall may be simple but I rather like the design it jsut needs to be longer and I would make it out of grey bricks myself.

I would also suggest changing the figures but these also might be a WIP
if the assassins are trying to get into the US I would defensively go for something other than the Hoth figures for the solders.
It's pretty hot down by Mexico mini/sweat
the assassins are also have strange getups but that might saposed to be funny
otherwise it looks all right mini/cat

Could you possibly explain this a little? Some background as to what it's for and what the storyline is would really help mini/wink

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Okay here's a set from my upcoming film "The Heist" For the 10 Lines Contest.

Note: The guy in the chair is just a dummie. The real person will be put in later will filming starts.

This is Timothy Well's (Main character) boss's office. Just a normal office, nothing special. Just thought I'd see if i needed to add/take away anything.

And here's a couch that I've been working on, feel free to copy the design. It's very simple. mini/smile

I think you need to take off that tile on top of the couch.  It just looks out of place.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

For the office, I'd suggest maybe a file cabinet or drawers of some sort, and/or also possibly a window either on one of the sides or the back wall.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

The table in the office is too low, and it would be better if it was brown.  Also, the walls should be white and the floor should be grey.  Oh, and the room should be bigger.

That's just what I think would make it better.

He was sarcastic.

Nice igloo. I find it kinda hard to make something a round object with bricks, but you pulled it off very nice! :)

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

You could maybe raise the walls a bit, and the room feels quite empty. I suggest adding maybe more tables with computers, buttons, levers etc.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

How about adding a brighter grey stripe, just one block tall, maybe even just a stud, at the bottom of the wall. They just feel quite boring at the moment
