Then you need to get a frame capture program that can do a higher resolution.  Some frame capture programs (or versions of the same capture program) have a resolution limit.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

The way everything worked out for me with the Logitech Webcam pro 9000 was that I had an older version the webcam software on my computer and when I installed the 9000 version, it actually left the older version(it looked exactly like the old version) but you could also adjust the new settings...including the resolution.

You can't simply say that "these settings are correct" because it depends on your situation. If you have extremely bright lighting, you will need to decrease your exposure and/ or brightness, If you intend to focus on an object further from the camera, then alter the focus, etc. mini/frustrated
