Topic: Charcuterie, a short film musical

Hi there, BiM!

I haven't been around these parts for a while, but I thought I'd share some information about the new, ambitious Live-Action project I'm working on, just in case there's someone who's interested.

A musical about love, meat and mental instabilities. But mostly meat.

What it's about.
Sebastiaan works at the meat department in the local supermarket. His colleague is called Eliza, is gorgeous, and has some trouble with her ex-boyfriend Alex who just won't accept their relation is over.
It seems the only way for him to get the point, is with a pointy knife.

"Charcuterie" is a musical short film, written by Jeroen Willemse. It is being created as a film project for the RITS Film School in Brussels, Belgium.
The film is inspired by such Broadway musicals as Little Shop of Horrors and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

To dispose of Alex' body, Eliza and Sebastiaan grind it up to sell it as meat. Of course, this doesn't go unnoticed. That is to say, people mention the meat having a different taste. They even go so far as saying they prefer this new brand of mystery meat. How will the two keep up their charade?

I've been wanting to make this idea into a film of my own for quite a while. It's not the most original idea I've ever had, but it is one that I would love to be able to make my own. My goal is to make an affectionate parody of the musical genre, as well as to create a great, enjoyable musical short film.
