Topic: QCP9000 black lines.

Hi,

I seem to be getting faint black lines on the QCP. An example can be found here:

As you can see, there are faint black horizontal lines. They do seem quite distracting.

Look closely, they are at the top mainly. It's not my monitor because I have never seen them before.

Re: QCP9000 black lines.

I see them. Are these also visible in the local (non YouTube) version?

Yes, they seem to be. It is not on any other footage I have taken, and even the non-cgi version of this has them as well.(So that rules out youtube and after effects)

Re: QCP9000 black lines.

Looks like a lighting issue. What did you change? FPS? Other lights?

Nothing. I took paper off my lamps, but a masking test I made without paper on lamps had no lines. I just added a new lamp (today, after I made that footage) and it still happens.

Re: QCP9000 black lines.

I know what this is.  You're using regular bulbs, aren't you?  Using full-spectrum (white light) bulbs will fix that.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: QCP9000 black lines.

My QCP9000 also has black line on it sometimes, the way I get rid of them is to lower the exposure until they disappear then fiddle with the other setting until i'm happy with the shot.

It wasn't happening before, so I don't think that is the problem. I think I'll play with the settings.

I can't see the lines either and I think that is very good test. I love it! mini/wink

Re: QCP9000 black lines.

This problem appears when the light settings are too low.
