Topic: Barbarius the Champion - new series!

I am currently in the process of writing the scripts for a new series of brickfilms called Barbarius the Champion. It is about a mercenary who is feared throughout the land. In each episode, he has to complete a new contract, which can vary greatly, from raiding a village to assassinating a very important person. It will be action, unlike many series of brickfilms.

I am still writing the first episode, but I hope to have finished all the scripts by February (and I almost definitely will have). Each episode will be around 1 to 3 minutes long, and there will hopefully be five episodes in the series.

It will be filmed with a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000, probably using Monkeyjam. It will be edited in Sony Vegas. The sound will be recorded with Audacity. Most of the music will be made by Kevin Macleod from Incompetech.com, although it will have an original theme song.

Episodes in series

Episode 1: Barbarius has to raid a small village.
Episode 2: Barbarius is given a contract he cannot turn down
Episode 3: Barbarius gives himself a contract
Episode 4: Barbarius is recruited to do something for the good of the country.
Episode 5: Barbarius goes on a strange mission.

I actually like this. It seems much more accomplish able than most other brickfilm series suggested here (A sprawling Sci Fi epic with tremendous battle scenes and deep plots and characters, each episode is 30 minutes,  and they haven't even made a brickfilm yet.)

I like that you are keeping episodes short, too.

Update

This is coming along nicely. The first two scripts have been completed, the set for the introduction has been made, and the Barbarius minifigure is nearly complete. I have wrote the theme song. Ep 2 (and probably some others) require minifigures that I do not have, so I ordered a Lego Kingdoms set containing knights that I will use as guards.
Ep 2 will require a castle set, which I am about to start designing. It will be cgi, and I will just layer it onto the original video.

Thats about all for now, folks. I will be back with more updates soon. I will also post a picture of Barbarius when I have finished making him.

EDIT:  Instead of making a cgi castle, I am just going to get a picture of the lego kingdoms castle and put it in the back ground.

Hmm... Good idea. Although I would suggest using browns and tans or the buildings if you have them instead of red and yellow. But other than that great idea! I real like the Barbairius minifig!

Update

There has not been an update in a while, and this seems a good time to post one.
All the scripts have been finished!!! This means that the series can soon go into production. I just need to get a couple things sorted out first. Also, the Barbarius minifigure has had a few minor changes. I will post another update and hopefully a picture when time allows me to.

The first episode is in production!!!
I have decided that I am going to give lots of grain and put it in about 50% black and white. It just looks much cooler that way. Anyway, here is a picture from the first scene.
