(they shouldn't have gravity in the snow dream if there is none in the hotel)

Yeah, that's something I noticed first time I saw it, though I think that that might have been because the kicks had to be sudden to affect the dreams? I dunno, I haven't watched it for a few months.
But yeah, Inception is awesome.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows

Although it seems to be just another sequel because of a successful original, this was actually really enjoyable. Robert Downey Jr. is hard to dislike, and the character of Moriarty was played exceptionally well. The fight scenes which made the first film really memorable were perhaps a little overused here, but that's to be expected considering the positive reviews they received, and they had enough twists to keep everything interesting.

The scene with Holmes having a hook stabbed through his shoulder is pretty grisly - who rated this film a 12A?

The Adventures of Tintin

It seems a lot of people here are watching this movie.[/CaptianObvious]

It was good.  I like the creative scene transitions.  The action in the action scenes was a bit hard to follow at times because of all the camera movement, but I liked how the action itself flowed.  The look of it was very realistic, the motion-captured movement added to the realism.  I liked the voice of Capt. Haddock.

My parents thought it would've been better with more backstory on Tintin for people who haven't read the comics (us included), but it didn't bother me that much.

Déjà Vu (2006)

Explosions and time travel, which causes more explosives, or the same explosions, to happen. The plot was awesome but a little bit far-fetched. Overall, I loved it.

Octopussy

My first oldy Bond (pre Pierce Brosnan). I hope this one isn't one of the best... although awesome action scene at the end.

Pretty good, but a tad dull at parts.
I hear The Dark Knight is better.

We Bought a Zoo
Very well-made movie.  I was having second thoughts on watching it because it looked kinda boring, but I went anyway, and it exceeded my expectations!  Matt Damon was fantastic.  It will have you ROFLing in some parts and nearly crying in others.  But I was VERY surprised to hear swear words in a PG movie. mini/confused  4.6/5

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie, and the story was pleasantly original.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Mad Max

This film is like the most overrated movie ever. Maybe the sequel is good, but this thing is a Frankenstein, there are so many meaningless scenes they seem to be like fillers. Script could've been written by my cat no doubt and it's also a great example how to suck at editing, because it's edited extremely poorly, throughout the movie I really wanted to press the pause button but I kept waiting for something good that made this movie so popular and the truth is I couldn't find a reason it's so popular. I've seen movies much better who are rated 4 or 5 at imdb while Mad Max is rated 6.9 which is almost 7 while all it deserves is a solid 4.

3/10.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)
I didn't really see Iron Man being Sherlock Holmes in the first movie.  But the way that they have set the tone for the movie worked with his character.  At times his faked accent was really awkward.  While the Sherlock Holmes books probably didn't envolve so much violence of a sort this movie was still pretty good.

The Adventures of Tintin

I loved this movie.  As I think Pillow said earlier, it really captured the comics well.  It was easy to see that this was aimed at kids but maybe a film that has a drunk captain rolling throughout it doesn't suit the "PG" audience.  I think that the way it was animated and written made it really enjoyable to watch.

That was actually really, really enjoyable. Antonio Banderas was badass in this.

I'm more concerned that at the end he says it deserves a four, then gave it a three.
