I'm not a serious person at all. Seriously.
That's what she said.
I'm looking forward to Shutter Island to be released later this year. I haven't the novel, though I hear it's fantastic, and Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are always a winning combination.
I am also interested in Watchmen, The Hobbit, Up, and 9 (Hehe, there are two films released this year going to be called "Nine" in one way or another). I will probably also check out A Serious Man, since I'm a fan of the Coen Brothers.
I know that M. Night Shyamalan is directing a live action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender due to come out in 2010, and I'm cautiously awaiting/terrified of that. I dunno, I don't like the idea of leaving M. Night Shyamalamading-dong in charge of writing a directing an adaptation of what was such a well-made show, given his recent track record, I'm afraid he might blow it big time (Dev Patel as Zuko? The guy's a good actor, but I don't think he's the right guy for the part). Speaking of adaptations, I just stumbled upon this. I never played the game, but I hear it was fantastic. The cast looks pretty good, but then again, it's a film adaptation of a video game, and we all know how well those generally turn out (plus, Disney is producing it. Ugh)
I might also go see Dragonball: Evolution strictly for the lulz.
