One of the biggest things that a large-scale production like this one needs besides a good storyline is motivation; as long as you're interested in it enough that you won't get tired of the film while making it, then I say you should go for it!

My script for Operation Blue Dragon is about 16 pages. It'll end up to be around 8 minutes. It's a matter of stamina.
Been working on OBD since june 2011, on and off. I'm in the last stages of shooting, but it wouldn't surprise me if the film would take another 6 months to finish.

I work on it for about 6 hours a week, so that's not much.
I really like looking back at the stuff that I already finished.

Basically it's up to you, but making such a "big" film is really fun.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna stick to my plan of going through with it, and maybe making a small film along the way to show the community I'm still here.  It'l be nice to have such a massive film on my resume. I'll also shoot the introduction (Which will probably be the most technically challenging part of the film) to see if I'm up for it. I'm going through several revisions on this script, and even asking multiple people to give suggestion for improved clarity and general feedback. In other words: Challenge Accepted!
