Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I  like it, but I think it would be better if the TV and the other piece of furniture had flat tiles on top. Like snot.

There, much better.

Sorry in advance if the images are too big haha. This is a set for a Christmas film I'm making (I know there aren't any decorations, it's part of the film), and it should hopefully be out by Christmas. Please critique, I want to make any last minute changes before I get in to major filming. Thanks mini/bigsmile

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I don't see green couches very often...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Well, the point of the movie is that he's gonna tear apart all of the green stuff and make a huge Christmas tree out of them, also incorporating other things in the room. I was trying to find excuses to get all the green in the set haha

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

wow, that sets awesome!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

We used to have a green couch. It was wonderful. <3

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

What's wrong with green couches? Couches can be whatever color they feel like...
Except, the couch doesn't look very comfortable. It looks rather boxy and unrealistic.

You must not remember the '90's and before, then...

Good set, Awesomeonomy. I really like the fact that you added two levels.

^ You could try something like this.
(Sorry for the horrible lighting)

That family picture on the wall is just a stroke of genius...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Hmm...  I think those tan bricks up there should be replaced with something more railing-like, using the pieces that are used as jail cell bars.  You know, this part.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I must say that I don't like that couch at all, Funtastic.
I put together a collection of good LEGO couches a while ago but this is all that's left of it that I can find:

Here's a couch I built for my THAC entry (which I'm going to re-shoot).

Feel free to copy the design, I was reasonably happy with it. Note that the "feet" studs are slightly off position in these - they would generally be in the corners of the base of the couch.
