Topic: New Camera
So I have the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000, but I've been wanting a better camera. Are there good brickfilming cameras that are inbetween a LWP9k and DSLR?

C910 is good (unless you have a Mac, then look somewhere else)

I found out it only has 2 megapixels, plus I haven't really been happy with the quality of my films.

Well you have to learn to use it well first. Your still gonna get the same 4:3 letterbox aspect ratio with other cameras cause your filming at a 4:3 resolution like 1800x1600, try HeliumFrog or crop the video in post-production. Plus 2MP is quite enough, check out 0ldScratch or CrazyEd, they both use a Pro 9000 and they have great quality.
I've tried HeliumFrog, and I don't like it.
But is there a way to film in a better resolution in MonkeyJam?
When I used MonkeyJam, I'd always film at 1800x1600 and later in the editing software I would crop it into widescreen. I also once filmed in the Logitech Webcam Software, it worked great and it came out in 720p, you can try that too. You just take the pictures there and later import them into MonkeyJam and export.
I'll try that, thanks!
I've heard that when Monkeyjam has a high-res setting, the viewing window gets really big and you can't shrink it (or something like that).
I use Stop Motion Pro Action! HD and I'm able to get 1280x720 with a 9000. It's got a lot of features that Monkeyjam lacks, such as onionskinning (very helpful tool, by the way).
Isn't Stop Motion Pro for Mac only?
Isn't Stop Motion Pro for Mac only?
No. My PC right here has SMP on it.
You're thinking of iStopMotion Pro.
Oh, okay. About how much is Stop Motion Pro? And could you link me to the site?
Dubble post.
So would it be wise to get new animation software?
You can't edit pictures (masking for example) and import them back into HeliumFrog.
Isn't Stop Motion Pro for Mac only?
No, I-StopMotion is.
