Re: Post your logo here!

Now that, is cool.

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Re: Post your logo here!

As NXT has demonstrated, and as Sean has said, simplicity is usually what works. Look at logos for Pixar, Chase Banking, UPS, FedEx, ABC, CBS, Cartoon Network, the list goes on.

Re: Post your logo here!

Beautiful, NXT! Great work, I love the slightly off center eyeball. It sits perfectly with a non-serious, but not overpowering typeface and using a simple sans-serif font for "animation" helps balance it all.

Re: Post your logo here!

I know this has nothing to do with brick films but I wanted to get some feed back on this Logo I made. It is supposed be a logo for a made up NFL football team which I play as on Madden 03. I made this logo completely from scratch using the pen tool in illustrator to create vector graphics. Hope you like it

Re: Post your logo here!

Sexy! I feel a tad uneasy about some of the different thicknesses in the yellow outline surrounding the word "PENGUINS" but overall, nice job. I like the subtle orange in in the pattern on the Penguin's fur.

In other news, I recently did up a quick logo thing for a fellow's MLP fic. Haven't read it (nor do I intend to to be honest) but I thought illustrating a scroll would be fun.

Larger view here.

Yes I am still trying to figure out how to add a stroke to a image but keep pointed corners instead of rounded, any ideas on how to do that? mini/smile

Re: Post your logo here!

Beautiful. I love how you incorporate LEGO elements so smoothly into it.

Re: Post your logo here!

Nice concept, Penguinking. It looks like you used live trace to get the shapes? I'd suggest cleaning the shapes up manually with the pen tool, and centring the elements better. Some shine and whatnot on the crown wouldn't go astray either.

I actually didn't use live trace, I went straight to the pen tool and manually traced it. Some parts aren't 100% smooth but I'm still improving my skills with the pen tool mini/smile

Re: Post your logo here!

In that case, here's a little trick to draw symmetric shapes. Bring across a vertical ruler to halfway across the canvas. Position your reference photo halfway here, and draw half the shape's outline. Then alt/option click exactly on the ruler (zoom in as far as you can for accuracy) with the reflect tool. This will give you a perfectly symmetrical crown. Not sure if I explained this sufficiently in text... would you like me to record a video tutorial?

I'm sorry, but how can that be a logo? It's just a picture of Garfield with a text of your studio name under it. I would advise that you try to make something more unique and original (and create your own material; you shouldn't be using Garfield or any other already-made-character).

Alright, that one obviously wasn't very good, so I made another one which (I hope) is better.
