Lords of the realm 2 : Great game! A good mix of real-time, and turn-based action. Epic, feels like a Hollywood movie.

My favorite computer game of all time: Colonization (Any fans?)

My brother gave me the CIV version for Christmas, but I haven't played it yet.

One of my favorite films that is highly underrated is "Still Breathing".

Nice topic by the way. Great idea.

I think Ratatouille (a wonderful film in its own right) stole some of the animation spotlight from Persepolis last year. It's fantastic, as is the graphic novel it was based on. It's especially relevant right now, as the image of Iran in the West seems to be very one-sided.

Two other films from last year that I thought were underrated were The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (you saw that coming...) and I'm Not There. On the subject of Todd Haynes's films, I think Far From Heaven deserved a lot more attention than it got.

It's a six part MiniSeries, and, by far, the best thing I have ever seen on television.
It has an amazingly well written story, and the acting from James Nesbitt is amazing. The acting was, in my opinion, better than Heath Ledger's Joker.

How was that film? I haven't seen it.

It was very good. Edward Norton was great in it. mini/smile
Rent it, man. But if you can find it cheap, buy it.

Re: Movies and other media that deserve more recognition

I'll have to check that out. I hear that Philip Glass wrote the score. mini/smile

I think Kelly Reichardt's film Old Joy is an amazing film. It's only 72 minutes long, and was shot with just a few actors and a small crew with a portable 16mm camera. It has a great looseness that comes from indie filmmaking in it, but doesn't feel pretentious at all.

The Mighty Boosh
I only know 2 people who have seen this series over in Perth. This show's really really good. It's just brilliant.
