Just because a lot of people make star wars brickfilms, doesn't mean it's a sin to make one your self. All you are really doing is just showing how much you like the series by spending the many hours animating (OK, to be fair, there are definitely a lot of poorly animated Star Wars films, but there are also some awesome one!)

Yeah, I ment that there are so many of them that it is hard to find the good ones!

I don't do Star Wars because I want to make original stuff.  Besides, you can do anything you want in an original film and you are limited in a unoriginal film.

The closest I'll ever come to Star Wars is a parody.  Parody is fine, it's just making fun of something else.  I'm thinking of doing a Bricks episode that's a parody of SW Episode IV (most likely will be called The Nerds Strike Back).

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

How can I sign up for AdSense if I'm under 18?  I've seen people who're younger than 18 that have monetization, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

If you are under 18, you will need a parent to make an Adsense account for you. Though keep in mind, the more you parents yearly income, the more taxes you will have to pay (ex. If you make $2000 off of you Youtube, and your taxes are, say, 30%, you get $1400)

YouTube have invited me to start monetising my videos. I have no idea why, but I have no job so I might as well see how far this hobby can go...

That is I would do it, if it wasn't for the fact I'm not 18 until late April. This mildly annoys me, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a mistake, since I get little to no views. I probably wouldn't earn anything from my videos anyway. Plus, soon 90% of my videos and YouTube are probably going to be unceremoniously pulled from existence...

The whole 18 years old thing is really annoying and it says they don't even let you change the tax info to another person, or yourself when you turn 18. Although I have heard accounts of people being able to change the tax info and then paying with their own info.

So I signed up for AdSense, they approved my application and now I can't figure out the whole coding thing. mini/confused then I read you can't put ads on your YouTube page without becoming a YouTube partner first. Is this true?

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Yes you have to become a partner or you will get the email (everyone gets it these days) that says you can start monetising your videos. If neither of these things has happened then no you can not place ads.

Im pretty sure you don't. As long as Youtube have sent you an email about monetisation (not partnership, that is a different thing) you should be able to place ads. I'm think anyway.
