Topic: Animating with adobe after effects cs3??

Hey guys I've had cs3 for a while now, but rarely use it and was wondering if I could make animations with it? I've been using a digital camera and windows live movie maker and it's getting quite boring and doesn't have all of the features cs3 does, can you help me out, I'm a noob when it comes to after effects, thanks mini/smile

I have found these videos to be great for learning After Effects. http://www.videocopilot.net/basic/

You can edit animation with it, yes.  It's a better editor than Movie Maker (just about anything is).

It seems like you're taking pictures with a camera then putting it into your editing program.  This is fine, but it would be better if you connected your camera to your computer and took frames with a capture software.  That way, you don't have to touch your camera at all while filming and you get a much lower chance of having camera bumps.  You also get to export it from the frame capture program as a video file, so you can put it in your editor as a video file.  Video files are easier to work with than picture files in an editor.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.
