Topic: Philadelphia nights (2012) Film noir

Philadelphia nights would be a mystery brickfilm highly influenced by the classic 1940's film noir movies with a little inspiration from the L.A. Noire game.

*Originally "Philadelphia nights" is a w.i.p. novel which I am writing, the plot is a little bit different from this brickfilm's plot but they both include dark soul and monologues about how cruel this world is and how helpless and lonely sometimes you can feel.

Basic plot:

A private detective Henry Bukowski is hired by a lovely woman Mila Wonders who's husband has been missing for 2 days, the reason she's hiring a private detective is because she's worried the cops aren't doing enough to find her beloved husband. As detective Bukowski tries to solve the mistery case he gets involved with mafia and dirty cops since it appears Mila's husband wasn't kidnapped by some ordinary thugs, he knew something... something that even made the cops crave for his death... it's up to Henry to solve the case and give it in to his trustworthy friend Lieutenant McAllister from Philadelphia Police Department who believes this case could help him to become a Chief of Police in the near future.

It's just a rough basic storyline mini/smile tell me what do you think about it.
The movie would probably be shot in black&white to pay homage to great old movies such as "Maltese Falcon".

Everytime I read Bukowski in my head all I'm hearing is Lebowski xD. Anyways to the point of the thread I think it's a pretty good plot line, all I hope is that you can pull it off well enough to truley include the monologues which will add true emotion to the narrative, I think good voice acting will be key to achieving this.

Lebowski, Bukowski mini/bigsmile lol
thanks, I've been thinking about good plot for a while now mini/smile good voice acting is definitely going to be the main key to success, I'll have to work hard on the casting.
