By the way, LASF, I am pretty sure YT does care what you think. Why do you think they let people keep the old design?
I mean as an individual.

It's not that bad, at least you have a choice of switching to the new one or old one again.

What the heck?
On the "new YouTube" channel design, it shows my old channel description + background from months ago. What? And even if I click "delete background" or edit the desc., it doesn't change. Whatever, I'm going to stick with the old channel design for now. Plus, the new YouTube channel design doesn't show channel comments, subscribers,or friends. It's stupid.

So at least in the near future they won't be forcing to change to these new channel layouts without any other option right? And those who ask why people are pissed because youtube changes layouts and stuff shouldn't be that amazed at all... I mean come on youtube will continue to get that billion or more views per day anyway, why risk changing layouts that drastically if none of the youtubers are dissatisfied with it? It's like showing an ordinary chick flick to a bunch of women and suddenly putting on SAW V dvd disc and forcing these women to watch those cruel stupid violent movies instead of letting them watch romantic films (they are used to them and satisfied with them so why do something drastic?) this is just a rough example and I don't mean to offend anyone.

If you find the youtube homepage a big overcrowded, a user on youtube commented on a video, and I'll post a re-worded version here. I usually have youtube.com in my bookmark's bar, but that just leads me to the new layout. The comment someone made was if you make youtube.com/home your bookmarked page... well... I'll let you see for yourself.

I have two computers, and on one of them I have my old layout, the other I have the new layout. Apparently YouTube randomly selected a bunch of users to test it on. I use the old layout for my channel (I can't change the new layout back to old for the other computer tho... 
)
I've made 2 cents on AdSence! OH BABY! But at least it's working.
When do they actually pay you?
They pay you when you earn $100, snd send it to you the next month. I'm getting my first check sometime this month! I got (whoops, not allowed to say!) last month and am hoping to get more this month:D

I got a letter from YouTube today saying:
"Your YouTube account anteater201studios might be eligible to earn revenue from the playbacks of your videos.
Making money from your videos is easy. Here's how it works: First sign into your YouTube account. Then review and complete the steps outlined here: http://www.youtube.com/account_monetiza … ture=ieqe.
If your account is enabled, we may place ads next to the videos you submit for monetization. You will earn a share of the revenue from the ads as long as you meet the program requirements."
Then they tell me I have to create an AdSense account but I have to be 18 or older. I was going to ask my dad to do it, but their not his videos.

Not that I know of though I heard that the ads normally relate to your tags/titles. I don't know if that's true or not though.
You can filter out some of the ads by content as far as I know. Hazzat, or some other partner on here, should be able to fill you in more.
Love the new home page, easy access and all, but a god awful looking channel. Thank you for letting me keep my old look
