Re: YouTube

YouTube was having a bit of a problem with this one, so I reduced the image quality just slightly.

Re: YouTube

So does anyone have any tips for getting more views/comments on my videos?

Re: YouTube

Stuff that no one has ever done before! Originality! e.g. I'm making a brickfilm about the last superhero alive (the caped colt)
who is a pony.

Good videos.

Re: YouTube

Even though I posted this in my update video, I have a (sort of) new gaming channel. I'd appreciate it if you checked it out. mini/bigsmile Oh, and thanks to ANP for the template I used for my new background. mini/wink

Re: YouTube

I've decided to move on from Brickfilming now. I've been learning flash for a while now and have realized that’s what I want to do. This isn't the end Brickfilming for me, but it's not my main priority any more. I will be on the Forum still because I've become attached to this site. So look foward to some animations from me in the future.

By Moyrust. we hardly knew ye. Today, filmers around the world fly their brick flags at half mast.

But seriously, its sad to see someone move from brickfilming. But still, good luck in your new direction. It would be difficult for me to do flash, since I am a bad drawer

If you believe it's the way to go, forge that path!
Good luck with your flash animations! Hope you have fun while you do so.
We also won't say no to any brickfilms. mini/lol
Good luck and have fun mate. mini/smile

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: YouTube

There is no doubt about it that I will return to Brickfilming. The one thing I love though about flash compared to Brickfilming is that you don't have to buy resources like, bricks, camera, lights...

Re: YouTube

Meh brickfilmers come and go but the art of brickfilming will always stay mini/tongue

P.S. If you wanna get views you gotta make some good action sequences and stuff. Good animation is not enough nowadays to get many views on youtube you also have to add high quality effects (like explosions, muzzle flash and etc.) besides it would be great if you'd make videos related to some popular video games or movies, originality doesn't always help. Of course if you'll make original videos and they'll be really good then in a year or two your channel could grow into a very popular one (I'm talking about 3k or more subscribers and probably youtube partnership) but if you make videos like "Lego CoD: Modern Warfare" and the video will be good you'll get attention much MUCH quicker than making original videos. Don't hate the playa, hate the game mini/wink

Re: YouTube

mini/XD So making video based on video games is a great way to get views. Wow. mini/rolleyes mini/tongue

I made a lego Nuketown from Black Ops and as I write this I am working on a map from MW3 and you are right getting a lot of attention from it

No wonder it's working for you! mini/smile I used to do this and thanks to those unoriginal videos I've been a youtube partner for 7 months now. My Freddy vs Jason film is far from perfect yet it has 300k video views which is pretty awesome mini/smile
3 years ago I had another youtube account and I tried making original videos and guess what? Almost noone was watching them so yes people if you want to be seen and noticed originality is not the right solution for most of you unless you got skills like SmeagolStudios.

Well if it's so obvious you should try it because your youtube channel needs some work and you'll get much more attention than you have now mini/wink

Yeah, maybe get popular and then I'll make more original content. I have a whole bunch of ideas.

Re: YouTube

I wouldn't mind a partnership someday on YouTube. Though having a small audience would be really cool. A benefit from having a small audience is you can socialize. If you have 5k of subscribers, you’re not possibly going to be able to reply to everyone. Plus it's not easy work being popular on YouTube, the audience can be really demanding. I'd rather be popular to a couple of people than 10k people saying "lol"

Re: YouTube

My account status indicates under 'Content ID Claims' that "My account is not in good standing."
Yet, when I click on my Content ID Matches, none can be found.

Is this a YouTube error or is there an actual Content Claim?
I tried emailing the YT help area, but my message was sent back to me stating that my message does not appear to be complete. mini/confused

Name based on Lotr [✔]
Makes videos based on Star Wars [✔]
Halo video with no unique content [✔]

Sure unrenewable is original but even Smeagol makes/has made Star Wars videos.
