I'm not gonna enter this one anymore
I'm working on mine as we speak
Hmm, I have never seen The Matrix, so what would be a matrix-styled fight? ![]()

It's answered earlier in the topic. (The past three pages.)
Great!
For those of you who haven't seen the Matrix, here's one of the best fight scenes from the first movie.
can a contest entry be part of this challenge ?
so is that a yes or a no?
I have some words of advice for anyone entering this who doesn't really know what the matrix is.
"No-one can be told what the matrix is. You have to see it for yourself."
"No-one can be told what the matrix is. You have to see it for yourself."
The Matrix is a science fiction action film. It's consists of heavy visuals such as, slow motion and unrealistic physics.
I don't really like Matrix, so what do I know?
I'm about 2/3 done with my entry, just so you guys know I'm actually gonna finish something I said I would. ![]()
Sorry for the double post, my entry:

Couldn't find the time to do a better job so just did a quick edit and uploaded it.
Matrix specific elements:
- bullet dodge fast time: used layered transparent consecutive frames (ya dig?).
- bullet dodge slow time: used... well... look at it: the camera pans, the set moves, I needed to continuously adjust the focus, had to mask a gazillion frames, each with its own reference frame due to the camera motion...
I'm not particularly happy with the masking, and given enough time, I probably could have done a better job. Such is life...

It wasn't as Matrix-y or as long as I wanted to make it, but rustiness and lack of free time limited any extravaganza. I'm sorry if the audio doesn't match up well; the computer I edit on doesn't have a very bright screen and I couldn't see exactly where to place the sound effects. But other than that, I'm pretty proud of how it came out. Hope you guys like it!
