Topic: QuickCam Pro 9000 Broken

Hello all,

Ok, so I have a QCP9k and a Logitech C910. I usually use the C910 for my movies, but I made a cool rig for the QC so I thought I'd use that for some tests.

When I opened up MonkeyJam, though, it froze on the "Capture" button. Whenever I hit Capture, it just stayed like I was clicking it, but it never took a picture. I tried restarting the computer, unplugging the webcam but nothing works!

Can anyone help me? mini/confused
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!! mini/smile

That used to happen to me, but after a couple of days it fixed.

^Same here. I don't know what happened, but it somehow started working again, and I don't think I did anything to fix it except restarting the computer. I'm pretty sure it's something wrong with MonkeyJam, not the camera.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 Broken

You might be having hardware/software conflicts; the 9000 might be using the c910's software, or vice versa.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 Broken

That happened to me... the place I was saving the photos in was out of memory.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 Broken

This happened to me a lot before I got a new laptop. It might just be a very, very long lag that is the result of a higher quality picture being taken or it might be something related to memory capacity. What I would usually do is close every program except MJ and the Logitech software and make the image size smaller.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 Broken

Perhaps you need to get a slighty better computer, i had this on my old IBM laptop too aswell. Would you mind posting some specs?
