Topic: Help with picture quality!

I'm having lots of trouble with getting my picture quality looking good. I use Vimicro301 Neptune webcam for my animations. I have tried so many things to make it look good from change the exposure, lighting, focuse, ect. but it still won't get better. I mean it's not terrible but it looks real pixely and grainy. Can someone help please.:(

I can't find any information about your camera anywhere on the internet. Can you give us some specs, or perhaps a picture/video taken with the camera?

Yeah. We're going to need more information. Could you possibly put up a test video showing us the quality and problem of your camera?

Re: Help with picture quality!

I got it from a stop motion website www.nr-productions.com. It was in an animation kit they sold. Here's a link to a test video: http://youtu.be/TqRj78ozJXE

From looking at it, I think it's probably the camera. I also think that's most likely the best quality that it can get. You were probably were hoping that nobody would say this, but I have to: You need a new camera.

Re: Help with picture quality!

I have been thinking of getting a new camera for a while. I was just wonder if I could get it to come out better some how with this cam. But if I need to get a new one that's OK I just wanted to make sure.

Re: Help with picture quality!

Perhaps try using a high speed usb port. My Usb ports are not high speed, and when I plug my webcam in, the quality comes out horrible. I don't understand, but my usb extension is high speed, and the quality comes out great! If you use a desktop computer, try to use the usbs in the back of the desktop thingy.

What do you mean by usb port speed.
