After getting tired of too much grain from the QC9000 even though my set up is very well lit and Frame Averaging was on in StopMotion Pro, I decided to get the C910 after some decent recomendations from people here
All I can say is 'Wow'. It's miles apart from the 9000 in quality. Even though there was no white balance option in the menu I was staggered with how the quality has increased between the 2 cameras.
It aint cheap but it's really worth it
When I first tried frame averaging in SMP with my 9000, it still looked grainy. But it turned out SMP's viewer was causing the graininess. It became much clearer when I went to View and selected Stored Frames. Both cameras are capable of 720p (I think).
Did you try opening the C910 in SMP? I would imagine if you had Video Assist still selected, it would be grainy no matter what camera you use.
Yes the C910 is really good that is what I use!
Actually, when i open up the C910 menu, i get white balance.
Try updating your camera, see if you get it then.
Hi MiniFig051. No I did a short test file in SMP and the quality was very good and better than 9000.

I love the camera. Its so much better than our old Logitech Vision Pro(Same designs as 9000 just made for Mac)'
But I wonder, how can you get quality like KG and MindGame and those?

If anyone wanted to post some comparison screenshots, that would be cool. I'm interested to see if the lens is as wide-angle as the 9000.

Hi Minifig051. I'm pretty new with SMP having previously used StopMotion Animator, can you still compile your animation with the Stored Frames.?

Uhh.. If you mean exporting as a video file, then yeah (File>Make Movie).
The animation is made up of the stored frames. The Video Assist and Stored Frames options are just veiwing options. I'm not sure if Video "Assist" does any video assisting. Having it on makes the viewer pixelated and changes made by the Rig Removal tool to high-res frames don't show up.
