The Guard
That was brilliant. And Brendan Gleeson Was perfect in the role. Everyone go see this.
The Dark Knight is mega awesomeness. I can't get enough of it.
Suspiria
Dayum. That was pretty awesome, definitely live up to the hype, although I wouldn't call it the scariest movie of all time...
Yeah, it's not the scariest movie of all time, but it's definitely an intense horror experience between all the visuals and the soundtrack.
Senna
A great documentary film, made perfectly to show Ayrton Senna's life. It was perfect, the way that they actually took footage from his family and from Formula One Management to actually make a deep documentary. But I have to say
when they showed his death, when they showed him getting resuscitated and when they then showed his coffin it was made perfectly depressing.
A perfect film about a perfect driver.
Hey, Stevefrog, the forum you're posting in is called "General Film Discussion." There's not really much point to stating the movie you're watching unless you're going to, y'know, discuss it a little. Express your opinions, analyze the film, critique certain elements... it doesn't need to be much, but put a little thought into your posts.
Super High Me
It could have been more educative, but it was still hilarious and a very entertaining. DEA part pissed mee off royally, though.
Moneyball
Very, very good. This may actually be the best 'sports' movie I have ever seen.

Buried (On Netflix)
I suppose it wasn't too bad for a movie about a man in a box. He did some dumb things, for instance:
I would've either ignored the snake or just stomped the damn thing instead of setting my underground coffin on fire.
It kind of felt, if not preachy, then close to it in regards to 'higher-ups' not giving a damn about the little people. The cinematography gave you a good sense of the space in which he was trapped, though, and I liked the ending.
Also, I'm hella jealous of the bank this two-million picture made.
Drive (In the theatre)
Speaking as someone who loves dialogue ... the sparseness here was friggin' captivating. It's a movie of people exchanging looks. Ryan Gosling had hella presence as the mysterious, practically blank-slate protagonist. As for the rest of the cast ... my only complaint: MOAR CRANSTON.
Overall, the movie just has such a phenomenal, oftentimes menacing, atmosphere. It also exhibits a sad beauty, or maybe that's just the soundtrack. Speaking of which, I don't want to buy it so much as I want to have its electronic babies. Ungh GODYESRIGHTTHEREBABY.
In short: Eff yes this movie. Filmmakers: make more awesome films so I can feel great about going into theatres and plonking down them dollar-dollar bills, y'all.
The Powerpuff Girls Movie
I have so many fond memories of the tv show (which I recently watched the entire first season of), I'm glad they didn't screw the movie up.
I really love this movie, it has pretty much everything I loved about the TV show. While I wished they would have made it just as hilarious as the TV show, it still had it's funny parts. While, yes, the beginning felt a little rushed and flimsy, I loved the rest of it. I loved how they took Mojo Jojo, who in the series kind of felt like an amateur villain mainly used for comedy, and kind of made him more serious and actually made him feel like a real dangerous villain. The King Kong homage near the end was really funny. I really enjoyed the "tag" sequence, it made me laugh out loud a couple of times.
All of The Professor's moments in the film were heartwarming, I have to say. While they did use him like a fatherly figure in the TV show, they kind of took it up a notch in this. I can see how much he wants to be a good father, and I love how he takes it extremely seriously.
But yeah, this film is excellent, especially for a movie adaption of a cartoon. They really stood true to the original cartoon, which is just fantastic.

The Black Cauldron
The story felt really rushed and weak, it was like an ersatz of "The Lord Of The Rings". But the animation and backgrounds were AMAZING!

The Twilight Zone: The Movie
The segment directed by Spielberg was the worst!
That's not at all what I was expecting, but oh well.
The last two were sorta creepy.
