Topic: Project 2011 (30+ min)

So after my last release in 2004 I started last April to work on a new project.
It's a story based on a true event which my friend screenwriter and me have build around it a wonderful screenplay.
The story is about a particular relationship between a couple that is going to marry soon.
This is going to be a serious themed movie with deeply developed characters.

Project 2011 because I don't want to announce the title out loud yet. But on my website you can read little bit more about it.

On the technical side you can expect the following features.
15fps, mouth animation, beautiful sets, lighting and cinematography. Also extensive use of cgi to enhance the sets and environment.

At this point I don't have any voice actors casted yet. But soon I'll start a thread for the casting call.
Right now I'm working on the digital storyboards and with the screenwriter we're working on the final draft of the screenplay.

From time to time I'll make some update posts here. But mainly you can keep track of this project trough my twitter and website.

Thanks. I wanted to get back to the game few years ago but couldn't write a proper story. Untill something happend in my life that gave me the base for a story.

Thanks for the heads up.

There are 7 characters to play.

3 main characters (2 male, 1 female)

1 sub characters (1 Child Boy)

3 addictional characters with little lines (1 Sales Woman, 1 Doctor Male, 1 Nurse)

Once the final draft is finished I'll start up the voice calls.

So to be more clear, this is going to be stop-motion. Minifigs, furniture, floors and some props will be all Lego's.

Set's build out of cardboard with enhancement in CGI like for example this train is going be used in some wide shots.

Front still looks messy, I know.

This sounds/looks very awesome! I'll be sure to keep truck on this thread. One thing I don't really like about the set is that it's not really out of lego, though. Like the columns look good the way they are I think, but the brown falls look too paper-y I think. Very nice, otherwise! I'll probably try out for the boy too, once the casting call is up. mini/tongue

Thank you Tobias.

I'm not sure if the child voice will remain in the final draft, as well the voice for the female. We're trying different versions to see what does work. The screenplay should be ready before Christmas according to the schedule.

Here is a conceptual set design to give you a better idea how the cardboard sets will look with Lego parts intergraded into.
