Topic: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Hello all,
I'm currently in the works of an animation than I do so plan to release on Friday, October 28th. Production of this film shall last from now until late October. This thread's sole purpose is to give you guys updates on my film...Meaning sharing photos, updating you guys on the status of the film and the works. I will update this thread every Friday (excluding tomorrow) with new updates, and most likely shots from the film every week (some weeks may not include shots.)

Basic Plot
A man named James Duwaire plans to take a trip to Southern Ohio. He drives to a mysterious shop to buy a "navigation system." Little does he know, the navigation system has a mind of its own, taking him to turn right on 22nd St. after a long trip. James is in for a night of horror, and regrets ever buying the navigation system. Will James survive?

Basically what's going on with my film is I'm making some script edits, and hoping to get some animation started within the next week. "Turn Right on 22nd Street" will be my longest, and best brickfilm yet. Hope you enjoy it come the week before Halloween mini/bigsmile. I'll update you guys on my progress September second mini/smile.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Sounds interesting enough. I hope that you do enhance your sets in this film however. In the past they have been pretty basic. No offense.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Sounds like an interesting film. I will echo what Juggernaut said about sets, however. I really hope you can improve enough to make this film fully understandable.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

@JK, and JP Sets may be small, but I ensure they will look good in the film. As I will be using NathanWell's technique of ONLY building what the camera sees. But I will make sure that the sets are much better than my other films.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Well, in the past, your sets have looked like an afterthought and as a result, people have been increasingly skeptical. I would heavily advise buying bricks off of Bricklink or buying a brick bucket from Lego. Because even your minifigures are repetitive and don't convey the desired character.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Wow, sounds awesome. I actually enjoy films like these! Good luck.

Thanks, sounds good.

@RealBrick I just counted and I have 23 minifigures. I'll try not to repeat any minifigs, although I think I may repeat one from POW, because he fits one of the characters really well mini/smile. I may buy some more bricks of one color off of bricklink. Depends on a money situation.

Also guys, I'm doing a little bit of shopping on bricklink now. Should have a wide variety of bricks mini/smile. Thanks to RealBrick for the good store suggestion mini/bigsmile.

@Eddie You're so kind for wanting to help, and I'm very happy, and thankful that you're being so supportive of this film so far, but I am not sure that there is anything you can do to help mini/sad. Thank you though mini/bigsmile.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

UPDATE:
Guys I'm sorry to say that I cannot give a real update until the nineth, because everything I need for the film is not supposed to come to the house until tomorrow. To make a long story short I ordered a whole lot of bricks to maket his film possible from a bricklink store, and the guy waited forever to send an invoice, and ship the actual bricks. So as this week follows, I shall be building most sets, and I do so plan to start animation on Thursday (that is unless I do not go to the movie theater.) If that did so happen, then animation would probably start on Friday, in which I may be able to provide a shot from the film. Hope you guys are excited mini/smile!

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Sounds like "vanishing on 7th street".

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

Looks interesting. I echoe what Juggernaut (and others) said, which is about the sets. I suggest you to post pictures of sets here, so if there's something that we think can get better we will tell you. Good luck with the movie, btw.

Re: Turn Right on 22nd Street

School has been CRAZY this year. No that DOESN'T mean that it's cancelled it just means that filming will be started this Saturday, and it'll only be done over the weekend. Except for I will doing a lot of set-building during the week. I made the "shop" over the course of Wednesday and Thursday. I plan to get about 15 seconds of footage done this weekend, and next Friday there'll actually be some pics. Sorry that there aren't any for today, but like I said I haven't even started filming mini/blankexpression. Wish me luck mini/tongue!
