Damn, I was looking forward to this being my first competition.

However, I just checked their page and apparently they don't ship to the UK mini/sad

Made it pointless to me mini/confused

No no, as the prizes are for the contest Brick Warriors will ship wherever you are in the world, although you might have to pay a minor shipping charge that will be all.

Oh, well that's good. Thanks for clearing that up. Although now I've made myself sound cocky as though I was expecting to win  mini/lol

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

Been working on my entry all week. It's coming along really nice. I still need voice actors so... that's always an issue.

FOS ENTRY: Animation: 10% Done, Editing: 0% Done, Voice actors: 0%

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

Ok I'm definitely going to try and enter this. Gives me an opportunity to do another short. mini/smile

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out. I'm balancing a lot of projects on my shoulders plus school and homework, so I'm not sure I'll be able to get an entry out in time. I know this is probably the 5th time I've done this during a contest, but it's just going to be too difficult.

Sorry if I disappointed anyone. (I probably didn't.)

School has started and I am very busy, but Ill try to get some thing out.

New films coming soon!

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

I...I think I'll have to drop out too. It's not that I'm too busy with school, but I just can't concentrate on my projects, I can't think on just one thing. And that makes it difficult to me to even start a set. I'll have to wait for holidays to make something. I may post a poster anyway, cause that's very simple to do.
I'm sorry, but I just can't film with all that stuff in my head, it wouldn't come out well.

I'm dedicated to entering no matter how hard school hits me.
I'm kind of yes and no about extending the deadline, here's why...

I thought at first, extending the deadline would be a great idea though when I think about it, getting the results on Halloween also sounded awesome because, well, this is technically a Halloween contest. Extending it to November 5th or something would ruin the fun. So it's kind of your choice, Onion.

I guess I'm down with either. mini/yes

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

Same, I have completely dropped my social life over the past 2 weeks in order to get a head start on filming. The story may not be the best, but I am determined to enter even if it means doing everyday things and animating a little on the side!!!!! mini/tongue  I need voice actors, that is my main priority But about 1/3 of the filming is done.

FOS ENTRY: Animation: 10% Done, Editing: 0% Done, Voice actors: 0%

I agree with you mini/wink

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

well I realy couldn't think of anything that was truly scary so my entry wouldn't do so well anyway

Onion wrote:

Don't do that. School just jumped on us thats all. If it gets to be a week before the deadline and you only have tree or four people that are ready and not rushing to get done then think about extending the deadline.

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

how many people are entering this? Say "I am" if you are please.

I think that's actually less fair than extending it now. If he extends the deadline now, everyone has the opportunity to adjust and accommodate for the change and people with more complex ideas might be more likely to consider making an attempt. If he does it a week before the deadline he basically rewards the people who weren't on track to finish, without really giving a decent opportunity for any new entrants to join.

Re: The Festival of Souls 2 [CLOSED]

Well, I think I'm back in the game. With a shorter film, though. And I don't actually see why people want this competition to be longer. You have had one whole month, and you have another one. Last year it was only month and a half, and look how many great films turned out. No offense, but I think you guys haven't worked on your entries so much because of, well, mainly school but also because of lazyness. mini/tongue And as Martin said, try to contrate on one film, because then you gonna end up with a hand full of unfinished projects, and no ideas.

Well, actually I only had one month, I was still in holidays when the contest started, and when I got home I had guests, and school started (the second season of MLP started too mini/shifty )...I really didn't have much time to start working on it.

You're talking about me or is there another Martin here that I don't know? Btw, ideas never ends, no matter how many project came out of your mind, it will go on. And I wasn't talking about the fact that I had too many projects: I have only two and I can handle them. My problem is that my mind is full of thoughts, ideas, reflections about life...well, that kind of stuff, and I just can't stop thinking about that and concentrate just on stop motion films. All these thoughts stop during holidays, because I no longer have to wait for the autobus and travel for 1 hour home-school, and then another hour to go back. It's stuff I think when I don't have anything to do, a killtime, but later it won't let me think on one thing... or were you talking about something I said in another thread?
