how come, when I make a vid 30 people watch it, but when other(far worse) brickfilms get Heaps more(by far worse I talking about ones useing 3fps and being full of Audio clicks...)

those are usually the people whose whole view/subscriber base is made up of their friends from school, who adore their videos because they've never seen Keshen8 or filmyguy (or any good brickfilmer for that matter), or its just them clicking the refresh button a few hundred times.

No one ever said Youtube was fair.

Ughh! That makes me so mad, I want to leap to their computer and tell them how to make a good brickfilm. Then again, learning is learning. I tend to see a lot of brickfilms on YouTube by people who aren't cu out for brickfilming. And I see a mucho amount of Star Wars Clone battles but YouTube noobs like that stuff.

yes, and I take it one could give themselves money but opening up other internet browsers and clicking on the adds on the vid after they become a partner and then they get money...

Personally, i don't really have a problem with brickfilms based on a property like Star Wars or Indiana Jones. If its a well made film then it doesnt matter if its based on a preexisting franchise or not.

Also, LASF, i don't believe someone isnt "cut out" for brickfilming, its just that not everyone has the patience and drive to do it immediatly, they just have to learn it.

Re: YouTube

I personally think I have gotten lucky enough to make some friends on youtube and get a fan base early on there are a lot of people who have better videos but are not active enough to make friendships.

Actually when you apply to partnership, you have to agree that you won't click on your ads, or else you'll lose it. ;D

ok... point taken... but what I'm saying is that it's do-able....

Re: YouTube

It would look mighty suspicious if all your clicks were coming from one IP address. Short answer: don't do it.

I'm not a partner, I'm an honest person but *cough* library *cough*

One could say do it at work as well.  However, if they start to notice a pattern, don't be surprise if they take away from you.

Re: YouTube

Quick question about channels:

How do you get the text all over the channel? Not the background, but on the foreground. Example: CadenTheGreat

Is it just for partners?

Re: YouTube

Thats part of the background, hes just made the foreground elements transparent.

Re: YouTube

Cool. How do you line up the background like that though? A lot of patience? mini/tongue

Re: YouTube

You can do this in GIMP. There's a tutorial on YouTube, I don't know the link name though.

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Can someone link me to it? I can't find it. mini/confused
