Couldn't you just turn down the white balance when you are capturing your frames?

Color correction done properly does several things. First it corrects white balance to the best possible settings. Second you can adjust the contrast of the shot and third you can adjust the colors to make it look how you want to set the mood of your film.
Oh cool.
Sony vegas platinum HD has color ceorrection right?

Yes, it can. That's what I am using.
If you would like a good editing software for a good price, I would suggest looking into the Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 10 Suite.
I completely agree ![]()
The program I use to edit my videos is Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. Not a lot of people use it which surprises me a lot, it is a great program for any kind of editing. Very simple to get the hang of as well. The thing that sucks is that it is very expensive, but it is worth every penny. ![]()

EDIT: Typo I think
I use NDW JPGvideo to string all my frames together, then I take it to Adobe Premiere CS4. It's really good for video editing. Like REALLy good. Then I take it over to Adobe After Effects for any special effects or color corrections. It's a very good bundle of programs, but a little pricy. Definitely worth the price if you are serious about film making. Otherwise, it may be too much.
Software at the best price - FREE. Magical, ain't it? ![]()
I use Pinnacle 14. I know it's not exactly the best but it works. ![]()
It costs around $100 if you want the medium version.
The Free Software List has some good choices.
But, if those aren't what you're looking for, I'd suggest Sony Vegas. I haven't used it, but from what I hear it's very good.

I think i'll start out with Vegas Platinum HD, and once i get better (and have a little more spending money) I may move up to Vegas Pro or Premiere (I do already have experience with Premiere, as my news crew at school uses it to edit SOME videos. For some reason i can't explain, most of the crew prefers WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER OVER ADOBE PREMIERE.)
but i'm getting off topic

Sorry guys but, their is already a thread for this in Post Production.
