Heh, looks like my Zephire house was still usable after the explosion.
WELP that was fun guys. Expect the episode in a couple weeks.
Server will be offline for a bit until I upload a temporary replacement map. It will probably will be a special map. I'll post again when the server is online again.
Until now, I did not know the minimap worked in multiplayer. Someone will have to tell me what mods do and don't work in multiplayer, because now I'm interested.

I've got a backlog of over a week's worth of episodes, and half of them still need to be edited. O_o
Well, PAX leakage says that the silverfish is an aggressive mob that can spawn randomly when a stone block is mined, the chances are very low, as most people there never saw one, but I think this will make mining more interesting. I wish Notch would implement more passive and allied mobs, because it would be interesting to see some sea life, and neutral mobs like snakes would be cool.

I heard at PAX someone was talking about whales in the oceans. Notch sounded interested.
And for the texture pack makers, the Terrain.png and Items files have been released.

I knew the NPC villages were still a bit buggy, and some other stuff would roll over to 1.9, but ah well, rather a late but great update than an early and buggy one I suppose. Two extra days might get it sorted, so that'll be fine.
