Does anyone know of a free screen capturing software that is good. As in, it doesn't cause lag but still has a decent video quality?

I think Cam Studio is one of the best free ones but you can use the free trial of fraps.

Yes, but tell me your setup. I really don't know about mine. All the video tests I've done on CamStudio have been really laggy and sometimes parts of the shot would stick and stay stuck on the screen while the video moves and stuff. So, what's your setup and is there certain things I should do?
And yes this is for Minecraft.

Hmmm, I'm looking for something as good as the Yogscast. I know this sounds really stereotypical but my friend and I really want to make a series. Any ideas? Is CamStudio as good?

I haven't had any lag issues. But i've only done videos of webpages and stuff, never of a game or anything that slows my compy down.

Or, i have great succsess with X-fire. I use it for Team fortress 2 videos, so it should be able to handle Minecfrat just fine!
