If you didn't say that it's a barn, I wouldn't know what it's supposed to be.

The main problem with that seems to be the roof. Try using plates instead of bricks.
Halfway down the roof, the slope should be steeper. You know what I mean?

Ultimately, it depends on what he uses with the pieces he has mini/wink .

Nice barn Eddie, simple, but artistic. Good work.

Thanks! mini/smile

Yeah, minifig, I really don't have that many white slant or plate pieces and it's really not worth buying them for this kind of film. mini/wink

I've got an idea. Take some plates of any color and cover it with your white bricks. Fit that into the barn and use the few white plates you have to hang over the edges.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

The roof may need a little work, but I would definitely suggest changing the door - where's the brown wood?

A barn doens´t just need to be brown? Most of them a red and white with black/brown roof.

I need a new name! HELP

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

A barn is simply a large building used for storage; they can be any color you like. Most people don't paint them (paint is so expensive), and instead simply varnish the wood, leading to the brown color you might see. In fact, there's at least eleven barns in my town, and only one of them is red.

EDIT: Also, barns don't typically have any windows on the first floor.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Ok, now that I see the responses I think I should change the roof to black and change the doors and windows. Ok, I got a lot of work to do. Here's a tractor.

BTW, I don't have any scale wheels for the front.

Oh, and mcoov, the barn stays red. mini/wink

There is a LOT of barns as you call them where I live. ALL of them are red with white. And black roof. mini/tongue

That's fine. I was just correcting the misconception that all barns are red with white trim.
@FuryBrosStudios: They must be able to afford the paint.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I think the red works very well for it. As it just screams in your face THIS IS A BARN YO, which is good for making a farmy setting for your audience.
xD

Most I've seen are Green and Made of Metal. Different places tend to have their own aesthetics.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yay! xD I'm in a sig again.

Anyway, I like the tractor, but I feel it the front wheels should be on the back, and you should have small wheels in the front, that's usually the way they are. Just make sure to lower the points where the wheels attach so it won't lean forward.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Ok, I really don't have any wheels that are scale but I'll dig a little bit. mini/smile

Yes, you're right there, I probably see as many barns with white doors as I do with brown. I don't think both the roof and the doors should be white, though, it's a little overwhelming.

Not sure what the brick background is supposed to be.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Turn the white balance where it is more white. It looks a little too yellow.
