Topic: Movies and Soundtracks

I thought this would be helpful to a lot of people. Sometimes when we need an idea, or when we are scripting/filming, we like to listen to some soundtracks or watch some movies that help you create the mood for your film. Like whenever I animate, I listen to John Carpenter's Halloween Soundtrack and watch films like Black Christmas when i'm scripting or trying to get an idea. With FOS here, I thought this would be helpful, especially since there are loads of movies and soundtracks out there, after FOS, I will focus on other movie genres also.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

Can I give some suggestions as well?
Not for horror, because you pretty much nailed it all, but for like the other genres...
Also, are you sure that Plan 9 is comedy? It was, if anyone believes this, supposed to be a serious horror film...
Great idea!

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

Suggestions are always welcome. And I placed Plan 9 as a comedy as a joke.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

I'm listening to all of them now. Nightmare on Elm Street now. My favourite so far is Vertigo. Btw, this is helping me a lot on thinking how to set the mood for my entry (which is still in the brainstorming phase).

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

Have you thought about Horror game soundtracks? I know there is a scary one called Silent Hill, it's soundtrack is pretty good.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

I'll check it out, thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

I listened all of the soundtracks, I already have some favourites. Definitely helped on getting some inspiration, I might use one or two for my fos entry, maybe.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

Nice, i'm glad this helped you. mini/smile

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

DOUBLE POST: Updated the soundtrack list a little.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

The ratio of horror to other genres is absolutely laughable.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

It's not just 'Horror' But Suspense/Thriller combined with Horror, which explains why the list is so long.

Re: Movies and Soundtracks

The Haunting theme was absolutely hilarious.
