Exactly, .bmp is the way to go.
Banners really need to have all the image in them, having bits cut off the top and bottom make them much less versatile. MrLego's is the best so far.
I'm glad this has all been decided on. I'm not saying that comedy is a must for this at all. It's just the fact that I've never seen any serious horror lego film which scares me puts me off wanting to do a no humour at all film. I think that there should be a 'hide behind the sofa' award for the film with the most tension.
I am really looking forward to this though, hope I can enter. What time is this meant to start and end, or has it still not been decided yet?
Okay, so with a suggestion from Hazzat, I decided to use fonts from DaFont's horror section and I made the banner again two times each time with a different font:
And of course, like all the time, internet has mad the quality worse. 
EDIT: And as you can see the first one has a front just as Onion made in the banner for the first FOS. And also, cool banners everyone who has made one too!
