I like most of it. I feel the giant "Police" thing is a bit out of place, and that the chair needs some redesigning. Also, most office desks are full length floor to desktop, and not empty like you have. It's a good table, but not a great desk.
Yeah, it's pretty good. Ditto on the things that mcoov mentioned. For the chair, I think a regular Lego chair would work better. As for the desk, I was thinking something more like the desk I built on this set for Bricks: Episode 1.
On the side facing the wall, there are headlight bricks with 1x2 jumper plates attached to them to make drawers.

I don't understand why people like making stripey walls. Would you put a stripe on your wall if you knew you would take it off eventually? make it solid or put a chair rail and a different color above it if you don't have enough pieces. And also, try to work on your lighting. Assuming it's a dark film, you may want to use a fluorescent bulb or a blue light, and make it dimmer.

i like it ANP. the only problem i have with it is that there's to much stuff to look at, you'll get distracted. that's just me though.. just trying to be helpful

Thanks for the suggestions.
I've fixed it up a bit, replaced the big POLICE thingy with a bookshelf, replaced the chair with a regular one, and fixed the desk.

it looks a lot better!
The floor color is dull, and really takes away from the set, maybe consider a tan, which would help it greatly. The plants should be smaller, they look way too big, maybe take away a few of those extra plant stems.
The desk looks so much better. Also, I'm liking the knick-knacks on the officer's shelves.
That's better. I think that one more object on top of the bookshelf will make it look even better.
okay, heres a new set i'm working on.. i'm going for a westerny feel. please give feedback and tips.

actually. they do look like a mine.. but there supposed to be a saloon.. i'm going to add some doors, and maybe a little balcony/porch thing..
I'd remove that BURP (Big Ugly Rock Piece) to the left of the door. That piece makes the wall look like a rock wall.
Change the wall color to brown or something.
Try adding some windows and some swinging double doors (window shutter pieces will work).
Also, get rid of that thing on top of the doorway. Put an arch piece there.
Yes, a porch would look better. Get rid of the wall to the left and put another building next to it. Western towns usually have buildings on either side of one street. Continue the porch on the other building.
Lastly, if you have any tan baseplates, use them so it'll look like sand.

What's the thing above the door? I have to say I honestly don't think that would fit in with a house. Definitely have something over the door but the thing you have now doesn't look the best. Maybe try some slant pieces?

Here's a barn I built for my new short. It's only going to be used for exterior shots so nothing's inside it.

If you didn't say that it's a barn, I wouldn't know what it's supposed to be.
The main problem with that seems to be the roof. Try using plates instead of bricks.
Halfway down the roof, the slope should be steeper. You know what I mean?
