I recently got an iMac and I'm looking to do some stopmotion. I've purchased iStopmotion and all I need now is a web cam.
Could anybody recommend me a web cam that will work with iStopmotion? Preferably with manual focus. Thanks.
On the istopmotion website, it says if the webcamera works with quciktime or ichat, it will work with istopmotion. for the webcam, I would get the logitech qucikcam pro 9000 or C910. Just make sure you get the one for Mac. I heard the C910 work better on mac. You can buy it at the apple store.
Thanks, however the C910's manual controls don't work on a Mac apparently. Thanks anyway.
C910 is probably better but we use the Logitech quickcam pro live for mac. Im not sure of the name but it has a blue circle instead of red as the pro 9000.
None of the logitech webcams have manual controls on a mac.
Don't know, I've never seen it before. I was in the same predicament as you, but then I just decided to suck it up and buy a Windows laptop.
Oooft, IStopmotion. Personally, I think that was a mistake to buy it. I've gone with Dragon Stopmotion which allows me to use my Canon 40D with live view, which Istopmotion says is impossible.

Yeah, I bought it to and it was a mistake. I can see it being useful to people that actually have a compatible camera though.
