Re: Fall contest?
Why in the world would you make a BF exclusive contest? If you did that you would only get like 5 entries. It sounds like a horrible ploy just to get people to go to Brickfilms so they can enter a contest.

I would love to do an extra terrestrial horror film, I was at one time planning on doing one with Scypax.
I'd personally rather see another FoS over another Septemberfest. We just (relatively speaking) completed TOY and BRAWL, not to mention the Mega Bloks contest running at the moment. It was a fun theme as well, so it gets my vote.
FoS sounds fun I've never entered in it, but it seems interesting.. i've always wanted to try horror genre for a brickfilm
Personally, whilst I was happy with how FoS turned out, I mightn't be running it for a second time. I found last year there were only a few entries that were really quite good, and Piano was the only film that at least tried to be scary.
I do have a different contest planned though, that I'm discussing with my sponsors, BrickForge. It'll be quite different to most contests, but I'm hoping it'll very enjoyable.
Well, I think that even though not many took it too seriously in FoS, there should be another horror themed contest: we need more quality horror, and that's a challenge.
I almost feel like a horror contest here might benefit from a rule about needing to not be a comedy. I'm not sure exactly how you'd quantify that since even a genuinely scary film could have comedic elements in it, but in most of the Halloween or horror contests we've had in the past, nearly all the entries are comedies, which sorta defeats the purpose.
I was on the chat talking to some of the lads earlier, and that was the conclusion I gave. Where as last year the theme was split into real horror and comedy horror, although all of entries seemed to stray towards being comedies. It'll be the same this year, but the categories will change to something a great deal more serious, and points be given to those who stick closest to the theme.
If you do make a serious horror contest, I might actually make something.
Because I just thought up a very good idea, I think...
I'm up for a horror contest, but I probably stated that in the chat.
yesh, a serious horror contest sounds fun.

Very good point - the person that will be doing a Halloween contest this year should make a rule that it MUST be a serius horror film. I even think that it'll be a lot of experience for some people that usually make comedies! Like I don't usually make horror films, and few days ago I did and it was fun!
Yes, please no comedies, that'd be heaven.
Serious horror? That sounds great!
Because I'm running it...
Hey! Why don't you run this year's FoS or any other Halloween contest, Pillow?
I would love to run a horror contest, actually. I think I'm qualified, being one of the few "horror guys" on the website, so I think I could concoct a great theme. I guess mainly because I'd like to enter myself, and FoS is really Onion's thing. So maybe a later contest.
Good luck producing 'serious' horror brickfilms. You're going to need it.
Edit:
Because I'm running it...
Nobody can stop him from holding his own Halloween contest, you know.
