Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!
Has anyone played Amnesia: the Dark Descent? You should really try it if you're into horror games, because you won't get it scarier then this .

That game had me crying in a corner
Yeah Amnesia is probably the scariest game I have ever played.
Anyone know if there's a game like "Empire : Total War" for Mac?
Bought a 3DS the other day, along with OoT. I'm really happy with both, but the 3D in Zelda hurt my eyes after a while

Remember, a 15 minute break every hour!
I'm now excited about Halo: Anniversary Edition - and Minecraft is coming to the Xbox, so I can do all my nerdy stuff in one place!
You guys probably know that they are releasing a redesigned Wii. Well...
It's cheaper and has no GameCube support. Good for families I suppose, but I'm holding out for PSVita and Wii U.
I just use my Gamecube for Gamecube support.
Portal 1 is free on Steam, just a little heads up.
Sorry to bump (though this thread isn't really that old), but Portal 2 has free DLC out! I would've liked to have seen some more achievements, as that would increase the replayability even more, but ah well, more Portal can't be sniffed at.
MEGA BUMP
Did any of you watch the new Nintendo Direct? Because oh my sweet baby Cthulhu... not only is there a Wind Waker Wii U remake coming out but there's also a new Wii U game from the makers of the spectacular Xenoblade Chronicles. I dunno about you guys but I'm gonna start saving my money...
I just watched, and I am excited! Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game, so I am looking forward to playing it on the Wii U. And I am also intrigued about those screenshots of the new Smash game they mentioned.
On another note, is anyone else looking forward to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate? I have been meaning to get one of the games in that franchise for a while, and now that it is coming to the 3DS, I think I'll finally give it a go!
I'll most likely get it on Wii U. Still, most looking forward to Monolith's new game.
Also, apparently THQ has gone bust and is now dead. *8bit amazing grace plays*
I don't have a Wii U, and Likely won't have one any time remotely soon.
I'm really wanting one, now.
But, anyway
Cobalt is pretty great. It's not fully complete yet. But it looks like the finished game is going to be awesome.
The thing I love about it is that it goes to slow motion whenever explosives get near you, which is just mindblowingly epic.
Several game modes are available for the per-ordered version. It's a load of fun so far. More will be released later.
So you do have Cobalt? I've seen it, looks interesting, not sure if I'm gonna get it though.
My brother pre-ordered it, which let's you basically have the game, but with several features un-added since they're not quite finished yet.
It's a fantastically fun game, though it needs an adventure mode. I can't wait until it has one.
If you get the game before it's official release it's greatly discounted.
I'd recommend it.
So recently I bought Arkham City and Darksiders 2 for the Wii U. Firstly, I loved Arkham City. I really enjoyed the stealthy combat and use of all the gadgets, and how it managed to blend the characteristics of the Animated Series villains in with the seriousness of the Nolan trilogy. There are a few issues I have with the story, but the ending twist was simply great. (also, Joker's singing in the credits creeped me out to a ridiculous degree)
And Darksiders 2, wow, I'm really sad that THQ went bust as I absolutely love this game. You've got awesome combat, zelda-like dungeons, great bosses, likeable characters, a nice soundtrack and some of the best art direction I've ever seen in a video game. It really disappoints me how more people didn't buy this game, I may not be done with it yet, but so far it's one hell of an enjoyable experience. The only thing I don't like is how the game is quite fetch quest based.
Oh and apparently Sony is gonna be announcing stuff about their next console tomorrow. I know it’s unlikely, but I’d probably really want to buy the PS4 if they announced that it could play used games and has backwards compatibility. Unfortunately that’s really unlikely to happen. Dammit Sony, sometimes people want to play some of your older games without having to buy all of your consoles.
Babump.
The next few days are the open beta for Blizzard's new FPS/MOBA Overwatch. I'm not sure how much I'll get to play (my best chance is probably some time Saturday) but if anyone else was checking it out on PC, I'd be glad to join a group of friendly faces. My battletag is Vogelmensch#1312.
I've been enjoying Sierra Online's RAMA again. Some of the toughest puzzles in any game of its type.
