Re: Your First Brickfilm

I made my first brickfilms with a Go!Cam for a psp. Really crappy as well, it was great for low angles, though.

Re: Your First Brickfilm

My first brickfilm: Prepare yourself for awesomeness. JK but it was made in 2006 for those who are wondering.

Re: Your First Brickfilm

Here's my first YouTube uploaded brickfilm, not as bad as my first brickfilm (Only took a minute or two to make, I bet).
Well, this is my first brickfilm I ever uploaded. It is put together of two separate brickfilms I made.

Re: Your First Brickfilm

Ahh. This one brings back the days. I've kept this video up all this time. It was back when I was in fifth grade and obsessed about The Price Is Right for some odd reason. It's incredibly shaky, and only shot at 2 fps, but it's such a charmer. lol

Re: Your First Brickfilm

I was digging through some discs, which contained files from my first brickfilming computer, a desktop that I used maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I found a short horror brickfilm I made, i'm editing some stuff and I might upload it to YouTube soon. It's really choppy, badly lit, and short.

Re: Your First Brickfilm

I started brickfilming with with "Digital Blue" camera and software. Horrible quality, but worked for learning.

Re: Your First Brickfilm

My first film was made on a very cheap cellphone, hen later I bought a $50 "GO CAM" for a psp and filmed with that (I play-paused all the time). The first time I mad a film I had no idea there were so many other people doing it, but later when I saw some on YouTube I wanted to make more.

Re: Your First Brickfilm

Well... I actually have no evidence of my first brickfilm as it was lost on my old computer about two years back when it crashed (it was about seven or eight years old, so it had it coming mini/tongue ), and as such cannot show it to anyone.

Well first and foremost, it wasn't even stop-motion. I used a VERY old webcam (I'm talking one of the ORIGINAL model webcams) and made a movie about Spider-Man that had NO dialogue, NO score, and had NO screenplay just pretty much copied scenes from Spider-Man 3, not that you could really tell.

Well now let's skip ahead to my first use of even a little bit of stop motion with a script. This STILL used the SAME old webcam, despite being made in '09, and was a film called The Adventures of Johnny Lego. Well, first and foremost, it was the first film I made that actually had a script (or paper with words on it, as it is most certainly far from my best writing, but that was back when I was a beginner), and the stop-motion was basically only used during character's walking, and it looked more like they would teleport about five feet at a time... It was made in probably a six to seven hour period and was extremely rushed...

But despite all this, I actually loved the story and the characters, and have since created my own littled fictional universe out of it all that consists of several main series that are all connected to each other in some way along with some occasional side stories. I even intend on remaking the old film, and this is actually my first film of one of the several other series (at least the first one I plan on posting).

Although I won't the original film as you can see family in the background (yes... I know, I know... it was an old film, what can I say mini/tongue ) I think I still have the script to the unmade sequel The Adventures of Johnny Lego 2: The Lost City somewhere on my other old computer. If anyone's interested in reading it, I'll see if I can find it later.

P.S. TO THE NUIMOBILE!!

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Re: Your First Brickfilm

Back in 2009, when I first got into animation, the first thing I did was make a bunch of tests on the family camera, a Lumix. I deleted the pictures, but I kept the pictures for my first film, which was basically copied from the opening scenes of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (I was really into Indiana Jones back then). It was very choppy, shot at about 5 fps. I had all the settings on auto. There were a few set and camera bumps. The only sets were the Temple Escape Lego set and a green baseplate. You could see the messy room that is still my studio today in the background. In one of the shots, you can see the leg of the foosball table that is now gotten rid of. I might post it later as one of my early animations, like how Nathan Wells is posting his old films right now.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

My first 'proper' brickfilm

Re: Your First Brickfilm

My first 'brickfilm' was about some magician of some sort who is followed by this guy an- wait, I'm not gonna tell you about it. It sucked SOO much I'm too scared of uploading it. Of course, the YT noobs would like it but I don't think you guys would like it, even I wouldn't dare watch it again. mini/tongue
