Looks great, but it lacks detail. You could add some trees, rocks, dirt patches, etc.
I'm building a few tree's to add, don't worry, there's going to be a lot more detail added to the set.
Thanks Juggernaut, I didn't feel like repeating myself. Haha. Note how I labeled the picture as a "WIP" which stands for "Work in Progress" meaning there's still work to be done.
Fine detail comes last folks, right now i'm focusing on getting the basics of the set done, then comes the fancy tree's a gumdrops.
Look's good Kinz. I've never been able to pull of a hilltop in LEGO so that's very cool to me.

Just keeps getting better. 
I LOVE the sand green bricks, the look very nice. Much better than the usual endless green of the same shade.
The crooked fence is beautifully creepy.
Wow... Loving the set... Wish I had more green bricks. I'm seriously limited on that color... Luckily most of my movie takes place in a city (I have two full buckets of light grey and dark grey, so this shouldn't be a problem).

Yeah, I used the set. I'm horrible at building sets by myself. That's why I wanted KinzCove to make a tutorial.
Dead Trees!! Very nice. What I might suggest is add some black studs to the dead trees in order to make a spooky burnt look.
True, but there are multiple ways to do one thing, in this case, build sets.

I know LSP, I have watched those before. I just wanted Kinz to make a tutorial because I especially like the sets he makes.

It looks better when the lights are lower so it looks like night time and the background isn't in focus like this
Do you have any more of those leaf pieces? A few more would make it look more like a forest.
Ohyeah I have a ton more. The thing is that I found them after I took the picture so they're not in that shot. But I haven't started filming so I'm good.

I tried this technique once (not in-animation), and it looks really good when it's far away and out of focus with some tree trunks in front of it.

Anyway, if you have some dark green plates, it would slightly improve it from the black plates. Make sure to have a little bit of layering to give it some more texture, plus as many different types of leaves of shapes and colors as possible, them just stick them on kinda randomly.
The end effect looks like this:
