Oh, I just checked the title, I meant the movie, obviously. Love the show.

One of my favourite horror films. So good.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Sorry for bringing up the toilet humor conversation again, but I've been really busy as of late and haven't been able to respond for a while.

@Max Butcher

Looking over your comments about Pixar and toilet humor, it's confusing whether or not you think that Pixar used toilet humor pre-Cars 2, which I believe they did.

In your first comment you say, "It has toilet humour. A PIXAR movie has toilet humour". You seem to imply that Pixar has not previously used toilet humor in their other films.

I mentioned several examples (Toy Story 3, Cars, Finding Nemo, etc.) of toilet humor that I thought was used in their other films, to which you reply, "Those were subtle and well executed", which implies that Pixar has used toilet humor before, but did a better job of it than they did in Cars 2.

You then say in another comment that, "I dont count your mentioned examples as toilet humour. Toilet humour is when you expel bodily fluids (this includes fart-jokes, which was in Cars 2)- or the bodily fluids are seen", bringing you back to square one.

So the question is, do you think those examples are, or are not toilet humor? And where does your definition of toilet humor come from?

--

There's also your comment about the oil/pee in Cars 2:

"I know the pee is Oil, but your telling me that whenever my car is leaking oil its just going to the toilet!?" (followed later on by the comment, "And the movie is comparing oil to pee - so I shall compare the oil to pee."

Max, you need to remember that the universe in the cars films is different from our universe. So no, they are not saying that YOUR car is peeing when it leaks oil. (Your car also doesn't talk, I'm assuming)

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Whatever do you mean? My car talks to me all the time.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Sanctum

Well, where do I start? What a stupid film!

Well, some parts were good (mainly the titles and credits, they were utterly fantastic) but the rest was mostly just plain daft.
For a start, I hated the swearing. I find that swearing in context is fine, because most people probably wouldn't just say bum if they were about to get shot. But the swearing in this was in normal conversations. I know some don't mind this, but I myself hated it. What I did find quite funny was the way

Spoiler (click to read)

they swear sooooo much in their normal conversations but yet when one of them is killed you get a big, wail for it, OH NO!!!!

Yeah, that's scripting for ya. Then there was

Spoiler (click to read)

the stupid way Victoria (think that was her name) died. I mean, getting your hair caught on a rope? Really? Then you go to cut it and you cut the rope and fall. For a start, basic common sense when doing those things is to tie your hair back. And couldn't they have thought of something a bit better? Come on.

There was also so many other stupid bits I noticed, like the way the walls seem so easy to climb because they blatantly have what look like foot and hand holds. They could have disguised that a bit better.
Then there was the bits where

Spoiler (click to read)

they drowned each other. I actually found that a bit extreme. And where Frank goes 'He's broke every bone in his body' but yet when he's drowning him he's still able to move. I suppose thats just a phrase. And the bit where Josh drowned his dad was a bit upsetting. And he was stabbed in the back with a stalagmite which looked about 2 inches long?

So all in all I didn't like it at all very much. I found it quite cool how they found a tank. And I know a lot of the stuff I mentioned was unrealistic stuff which happens in films all the time, but a lot of this was just plain stupid. My dads a diver and the whole way through he was picking up on things which are obviously stupid.
The whole thing had a lot of potential. I find it quite interesting how it was based on a real story though. But it was 'inspired' by that, so I doubt that a lot of what was in the film really happened.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Good movie, but not great IMO. My main problem were the human characters, which were pretty boring.
Also, they raped the "Get your paws of me you damn dirty ape." It felt forced, and just weak...

Skyline
Horrible, horrible movie. the effects were decent but everything else was bad. it was an alien movie btw. it was basically the

Spoiler (click to read)

aliens used human brains as fuel, and there taking over earth.. and they would have lights to attract the people to come near them, so the aliens could suck them up. my favorite part was when this lady who screamed to much saw her husband get eaten. then he came out of the aliens mouth. so you thought he was gonna be okay, then the alien grabbed his head and took the guys brain out in front of her. it laughed so hard. it was pretty funny.

the ending was horrible.

Spoiler (click to read)

the main character's brain got taken and put into an alien, then the guy took over his brain again, so he was the alien now. and he saved the day by killing the rest of the aliens.

if you like gory, alien, horror movies, then this is the one to watch mini/tongue kind of reminded me of clover field..

Pirates of the Caribbean: The curse of the Black Pearl (With RiffTrax)
The riffing was okay, but it works better when you find it physically difficult to watch the movie, for example, Manos, the hands of fate.

I give the RiffTrax 3/5, and again, Pirates gets 5/5.

What if Jon Favreau directed it? Do you think it would've been better? Haven't seen the movie yet but it would be interesting to hear your opinion.

I know this is a little old, bit still...

Honestly I don't think anyone could've done it any better. The director done it perfectly in my opinion. I honestly have to say it's the best so far out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And that's with it up against Thor and Iron Man, which is saying a lot.

One of the things that made it so great is they managed the feel of the old comics without making it cheesy, which for someone that's a Marvel fan like me goes a long ways. So yes, I'd deffinately suggest this to anyone. Heck, if I had any money I'd go see it again. mini/tongue

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Halloween (2007)
Let me begin this by saying, I caught this on TV, and didn't even bother watching halfway through, as soon as I saw 'Changeling' was on TV, I changed the channel.

Rob Zombie ruined the suspense and creepy atmosphere the original Halloween had. Instead Zombie created a redneck interpretation of the story. The daughter is a stripper, the son kills kittens, the father is a drunk, and the mother is too busy with work to focus on her children, yep, Zombie just nails it when creating the most trashy horror movie i've seen. I just don't get why modern horror films focus on loads of gore and sex? Like, Halloween (1978) and some sex, yes, but was it gory, no. It had little blood. And kept building suspense and fear in the viewer, unlike this remake that just disgusts me and makes me ashamed of what the horror genre has become.

Overall, this film is a solid 0/5.
