Re: YouTube

There's this new 'Reaction' drop-box thing on YouTube videos.

Re: YouTube

Hey guys. I see that a lot of you guys have a pretty hefty amount of subscribers. I only have about 40-something. Do any of you know how I could spread the word of my films and get more views and subscribers?

EDIT: Down voted? mini/confused

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: YouTube

I know people might make fun of me for this but, there's an easy way to get more subscribers, but there's a few steps:

1. What genre do you mostly do? Think about this to yourself, once you've got the answer STEP 2!
2. What other brickfilmers also do work in your genre? Think about this to yourself, and once you've got the answer...
3. Check out their videos, and look at who comments, add them as friends, all of them as friends, and you'll get loads of subs.

This works the best. I was able to gain a few hundred subs from this technique alone by adding people who are fans of the horror genre.

Re: YouTube

Make more videos... good videos.

Re: YouTube

Making more good videos isn't always going to help. Like he can make a good video, but what will get more attention, the good video, or the choppy animation of a guy pooping? The guy pooping wins.

Re: YouTube

He will be noticed eventually, theres no need to lower yourself to petty techniques. Just enjoy making films, people will watch them.

And that's exactly the kind of attitude that got YouTube into the state it is now, with the most popular videos being poorly made unfunny jokes aimed at pre-teens.

You've made something like that stuff of which KinzCove spoke.
xD

Sorry.

But, in my opinion, the best way to go is making cool videos. mini/smile
(Which is what you do best now, and look at the amount of subs you have!!!)
Then go around finding other people and politely ask them to watch.
That's what I like to do.
And if an animation is really great, more people will like and favorite. Spreading it around.

My strategy is as follows.
1. Watch and comment on other youtuber's videos. It helps build a sense of friendship, and every comment is like a mini advertisment for your channel.
2. Try to upload regulary. It will keep people subscribed.
3. Try uploading a variety of films. I upload both live action, and stop motion films.
4. Respond to subs and friend requests. When somebody subscribes to me, I try to go to their channel and leave a nice professional comment, that way without spamming I can leave a link to my channel for others to see.
5. Use forums and social media. When I have a film that is completed to link to it on the forums I am a member on,  helps to build views and subs.

There is ALOT more that you can do, but that is what I am doing right now.

TAG TAG TAG EVERYTHING! The more tags there are, the bigger the chance of people finding it. mini/wink

Re: YouTube

Not true. Having a whole bunch of tags will decrease your videos relevance. For example, if your tags are
lego, brickfilm, animation
you video is more likely to show up if people are searching for LEGO animations. However, if your tags are
lego, brickfilm, animation, lol, funny, bricksinmotion, funnies, rofl, pony, random, minecraft, watch, please, and, comment, thanks, weird etc.
then your video is going to show up in a lot of searches, but very far down the list. Keep your tags concise and relevant.

My tips for getting a popular channel:
1. Make good content
2. Make it regularly

Re: YouTube

Dear Legostudiosplus,

Your YouTube account Legostudiosplus might be eligible to earn revenue from the playbacks of your videos.

Making money from your videos is easy. Here's how it works: First sign into your YouTube account. Then review and complete the steps outlined here: http://www.youtube.com/account_monetization.

If your account is enabled, we may place ads next to the videos you submit for monetization. You will earn a share of the revenue from the ads as long as you meet the program requirements.

Thanks and good luck!

The YouTube Team

I enabled monetization. So now I can make money on every video, and I can get ads on whatever videos I would like : ). I've been enabaling ads on most of my stuff now. It sure is getting annoying typing in the box, "I own everything in this video." mini/tongue. So this isn't a partnership, yet I can get ads on every video mini/confused? That's odd.

Re: YouTube

I got that the other day. It means you can start to earn money. I may enable it, I think you need to to become a partner.

EDIT: Ok, why would you down vote LSP for posting what had to do with YouTube?

Re: YouTube

You don't need to be a partner to get monetization, I got it a few weeks ago and ads on all of my videos. It's okay, but unless you're really popular, it doesn't really increase your money-making. I gained a few dollars though after I got it.

Because I think the person who voted it down has let the reputation meter go to their heads...
