Seemed a lot like Brick's entry.
Except you went for lulwut, and he went for nightmare.
But both of you seemed to have sort of rushed it, missed the intended emotions (laughter and fright) and ended it with someone waking up.
(Sorry to sound a bit rude just some critique)
The contest isn't too short. ![]()
You have plenty of time to make a nicely polished off one without rushing. ![]()

Rude? Oh no no no no. I'll think what you call 'rude' as constructive criticism. Is it possible to remake my entry, maybe just add on to my current entry? Would that be ok?

You could, but the animation already there didn't really make much sense. And it was too fast to see what was going on. I'd suggest animating something, just make sure that you keep the movements consistent. ![]()
Ease in and out.
Also, try to make it like a dream. That's the most important thing. Try to make it like something you'd see in a dream.
Possibly, even one of your own dreams.
Last night, I had a dream where HP 7 Part 2 had an intermission and vampires. The theater was very weird, with a box for all the seats was suspended from the ceiling. During the intermission, I said something to someone about tomato soup, and then they fell down a pit surrounded by spiral stairs.
Later, in another, I was in huge mansion, where loads of people lived like a small community, and I met a very little girl in a purple dress who manages to show up in lots of my dreams.
I'm sure you've had some weird ones. ![]()
Mine is going to be longer than the entries submitted so far. I was originally planning to have just the dream part, but I think I'll show the artist before and after he's in bed. When the artist wakes up, I might do it from the artist's point of view (first person).

I did have a weird one. It was when everyone just froze up. I think I may try that.
Thanks for the advice
EDIT: Actually, I don't think I have enough free time on my hands to redo it. Darn, I'll try, though. If I can't, I still have my other entry.

That was great Olsonstudios, it really captured the feel of a dream.

Didn't like the blood much, and the effects looked a bit weird, but that was cool. ![]()
Seemed very weird and nightmare-ish. I'm amazed you did this in such a short time.
Nice to see so many people like this challenge. xD
I'm a bit sad that I can't enter.
Made an entry but I might not post it because It has alot of flicker

Why was he smiling when he woke up?

Yeah, me too. The video seemed very rushed.
I might make a remake of my entry today.
I don't think I'll enter this one. I'm taking a few days off from Brickfilming.
I think got the perfect idea for this, but I probably won't be able to make it. Too ambitious.
Edit (because I don't need another post): I see many of you are going for randomness, but dreams are not that: there's always something you do, an objective to achieve, someone to reach. The way the events happens, or what happens in certain moments of the dream may be rather random, but there's always something that makes it look all real: there's a story in every dream. Bad thing is most of the time that story never ends (you can guess why). You are always trying to get what you want. What I'm trying to say is: Imo, it would be better to give the guy a reason to be in the dream. I can say that about me and someone else I know, but I think it works that way with everyone.
That's what I liked about my idea, there was an objective the guy wanted to achieve, but everything kept mixing: but... everything happens in a non-noticeable way, and everything looked perfectly normal, although you know that what happens is impossible. Not sure if you get what I mean.
Anyway, I couldn't do it because it would be too long, it would involve too many sets that I'm unable to build (due to my poor designing skills), and I'm already busy.
That's all I had to say about the subject. I hope this was helpful.
