Topic: Working On A Major Brickfilm(50 Minutes Long 5 Parts) Bloody Oceans

Bloody oceans is an all new LEGO brick film. I rated it PG-13, for violence,cussing,blood and gore. Bloody oceans is about
a war in Lego Land. Lego Land has been divided, based on the civil war in America in the 18 hundreds. It basically takes place in 1487 in Lego Land. We call it Bloody Oceans because they're is a lot of killing,stabbing,blood,gore,choking, diseases killing mini figures,also they're is burning Lego mini figures you can call this rated R. But we call it Rated  PG-13 because its mini figures. It will come out mid January, hope you enjoy it in mid January!

Hm. Sounds like it'll take a lot of effort, 50 minutes. I might watch it, just remember to out content advisories on it to warn the audience.

EDIT: Oh yeah, less gore please or it maybe an R film only if it is mini figures and I would take out 'choking'

Yeah, atleast when I do that sorta stuff, I MAKE IT WORK. You don't add gory deaths unless their's a point to it, or unless you're trying to be a gritty 70s exploitation director.

I don't mind blood and gore in films, but lego's different. Well, saying that, I quite like a little bit of blood in lego. I used it myself in my films like 'Marooned' and my second test montage. Like in my test montage, after the credits at the end, there's a bit where the agent guy spins round and shoots the bad guy in the head. But I only used a tiny bit of blood, and made the shot (camera shot, not gun shot, sorry for the pun!) quick. I also find that bricks work quite well for blood. So yeah, I have nothing wrong with a bit of realistic blood, but only a little bit.

And as for swearing, well I dislike any kind of swearing in lego. I mean, it is a toy, little kids might watch it. The film you're making sounds like it'd be much better if it were made with plasticene, I don't think lego is the right thing to make this with. But I wish you luck with it, you can make what you want to make, it's entirely up to you. But I don't really like the sound of this much myself.

So, if I remember correctly, Kinzcove is NOTORIOUS for making horror films. And this is something of the sort.
But what every horror director will tell you is that blood alone is not good for a film. Like, Hitchcock, and the Twilight Zone, that sort of stuff doesn't have much blood, but it's scary because of the power of suggestion.

And, have you seen or read All Quiet on the Western Front? It's a very gory novel/film. But the gore isn't just there for fun. (fun?...) The gore is there because it inspires a message, which is trying to capture the horrors of war and how bad it is. So, I wouldn't suggest working with only blood, death, and cussing. I would find a message, and, if nescessary, use the blood 'n' guts to accentuate it. Like Platoon, maybe? I dunno, I have never seen it. But do that, unless you want to become the next Michael Bay mini/lol

But as for the idea, I have to agree with what every else has been saying. It's just a little... over the top. And plus, I hate cursing Minifigs. Just don't work for them. It's like watching a baby call his momma a...

They just don't go together, in other words.

I don't understand why people like these must have cursing in their films. Especially if the guy curses every one second in the video. I mean, it's Lego, they're toys. If toys curse then Toy Story would've been rated R. mini/blankexpression

Another thing is the gore. You see, Kinzcove is a MASTER of gore but how you would've done it, well, yeah. In other words NO CUT UP BRAINS. mini/smile

Yeah it is his film, he should be able to do wht he wants. But, I would like to warn you that length and death and killing do not a brickfilm make. If there is a story behind the cussing, deaths, and gore, then by all means go ahead. But if there isn't then most people won't like it.

Also, most members on this site prefer brickfilms that have minimal gore and swearing. Sure, there are the death scenes and some minifigs get shot. Heck if you've seen Keshen8, he kills people in every film. But even he doesn't have all the gorey stuff you're talking about. So my advice, if you want people on this site to like it, use minimal gore. If you want all the gore, then make sure you have a story behind it. But it's your film, do what you want.

First,that can't be PG-13,it has to be R,even if it's a minifigure.Second,i think you should come up on something with Lego Land,because it sounds like the war happens in the theme park.It can't be PG-13 with all that violence and language.And second,if it happened long-ago,they didn't have cuss-words,and the a-word is another name for donkey.So it has to be R.
